Sonny's BBQ, Fort Walton Beach FL

Ordered through Grub Hub, Driver was fast so food should have been hot but wasn't! Sweet potato and baked potato were cold. No butter, no sour cream, nothing for the sweet potato. The chopped brisket was no meat and all fat. It was disgusting. The side salad was old and the lettuce was brown and wilted and smelled disgusting. I will never eat here again.

Sliced pork is basically baked pork- they don’t smoke meats like they use to. Killed the real BBQ years ago on first revamp. Fries tasted like two hours old - cold. Okra was cold as well. Pretty disappointing. Pretty much done with Sonny’s - so inconsistent - not just this location pretty much anywhere.

Amazing bbq and side dishes! Everything on the menu is priced so everyone can enjoy the food. Prompt, friendly wait staff. I highly recommend the Sampler Platter!

The salad was ok but definitely nothing to write home about. They used iceberg lettuce and they pulled barbecue along with the barbecue sauce was all on the side. I would definitely suggest not getting the salad.

Ordered online for curbside pick up, order said it would be ready at 6: 51. Arrived checked in on the app, waited 10 minutes, decided to call, the phone rang someone answered and said “okay”, put the phone back on hold, someone else picked up, and asked what we needed, and replied “okay” and was put back on hold. Waited 5 more minutes and no food was brought out, went inside, and the lady grabbed the food that had been sitting on the counter, the issue was brought to her attention, and no apology or anything. Employees were just standing around and goofing off in the kitchen. Food was cold. Will never be returning to this Sonny’s again.

They don’t require female workers to wear hair nets. As shown by the multiple strands of hair that you will pull out of your throat and off of your food.

Dirty tables everywhere. Trash on the floor. Tables were only cleaned when a customer came in.

I went with a friend and we had a great time, the food was great and although it was very busy our server, Ethan, was on top on everything. He made sure we had everything we needed, definitely will come back!

Just arrived back in the states and was craving some BBQ. The wife and I found Sonny’s and all I can say was that they did not disappoint. Food was 10/10 Very tasty and full of flavor. Service was quick and very friendly. We definitely will be coming back very soon. My heart and stomach now belongs to Sonny’s BBQ!

Walked out after the 7th time of being told we'll be right with you and after 10 minutes. At that point we started worrying that service was gonna be as slack as being seated.

Our server Traci was awesome. She made suggestions and applauded our choices. The brisket was fantastic, so was the candied bacon!

I have not been into this property in fort Walton Beach in years, I enjoy the wings but I usually get them through the take out window. Well I pulled up to the take out and it was a long line at 4: 20 on Labor Day, so I went inside. They put a bar in where the salad bar used to be, very pleasant atmosphere. My food was great I shared a 2 meat style pit meal. The chicken and the chopped Brisket were very good. Never order the sliced brisket unless you like dry meat. Fat is on the ends of the meat. And they probably trim it. I was a chef so I know, holidays can be tricky. Customer counts are unpredictable. This business was overwhelmed. But the staff did their job. I should have had a beer at the bar and watch the action but I was sharing dinner with a friend. Scotty out.

Just left Sonny’s the ribs were not even worth eating dry dry on the outside with little meat to eat.

Today, I visited this location for lunch.

I gave 4 stars for the food. Though the baby back ribs were pretty tasty, they were a bit tough on the outside. My sweet potato, ribs, and beans were a bit cold. Other than that, everything seems to be pretty alright.

I gave 2 stars for the service I received. I arrived at 12: 30 p.m. And sat for quite some time before I was addressed by a waitress. As you can see, my order was put into the system at about 12: 52pm. My waitress was training another employee, so I stacked it up to that, and it also appeared to be a lunch rush. One can guess I sat for about 20 minutes before someone came to take my drink order where I gave both drink and food order at the same time.

My food was brought out by the Expo. I appreciate her bringing it out to me. I know expos have a tendency to run food so it doesn't die in the window. That could have been the reason why my food was cold and the outside of my ribs tough, probably sat there for a bit. For the price, I guess I couldn't really fuss. Besides that, I was hungry anyway.

I gave the atmosphere 5 stars. I have hit a number of Sonny's in numerous locations, and they all seem to be pretty consistent when it comes to the atmosphere.

This experience will not hinder me from going to another Sonny's. Good affordable BBQ is hard to come by!

Sonny's BBQ never disappoints. Great food. Pleasant atmosphere and a very sweet & professional server named Sasha. Thank you for making our visit a positive experience

Came in today not a busy day maybe 7 tables of people waited 35 min no one even came to take a drink order with two waitress working the tables and 4 staff standing around up front absolutely ridiculous will not return

Got pulled pork sandwich and baked potato. My wife got grilled chicken and fries. Pulled pork was a bit fatty but alright. Potato was fine. Her sandwich was good. Fries were bland and lukewarm. She asked for ranch to go with and it was also saltless. Salt shaker was gummed up and yucky. The ceiling was leaking water. We both got waters and the ticket said big deal for both orders. When asked about it, the server said that we got drink and sides and that we made the choice to get waters and not soft drinks or something else instead, but it was the same price. Both of us thought the water was weird tasting so we didn't even drink it. We were annoyed that we had to buy water we didn't drink. We won't be coming back.

I had the pleasure of having my regular waitress Cheryl, she sure does go above and beyond for me and my family every time we come to visit we always request her and she’s just so welcoming and kind to us Sonnys stays sizzling hot with the wonderful food and awesome staff & atmosphere although the ac being out has put a damper on things, I’m sure it will be fixed soon! Overall good place!

I'm a big Sonny's BBQ guy since 2018, but definitely not this location. 40mins wait time and it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Chips were burnt, asked the waitress nicely to get me another plate of chips and it took another 20mins. 2nd plate of chips were burnt again. Beef brisket and chicken were really dry! Plus the waitress never checked up on us to see if need anything. Worst Sonny's experience

I ordered the beef brisket and the smoked wings with macaroni & cheese and baked beans. The beef brisket was really dry and tasteless. The beans tasted like they came straight out of a can and the macaroni & cheese tasted and looked just like Kraft. The only good part of the meal were the smoked wings and the cornbread.
