Father's Day late lunch was spectacular.
Food (A+) Best Veal in town and great wine.
The server (Raul) provided an oustanding service, very polite and knowledgeable of the menu providing good recommendations.
This was a great experience and I recommend Sophia's as a go to Gourmet American-Italian Restaurant.
Note: Big portions, be mindful of what you order!

Disappointed walking through the door, we barely got a greeting. Veal Piccata was chewy & not edible. Waitstaff never inquired about the uneaten dish. Waters were never refilled & restaurant was half empty the night before Fathers Day. Caesar salad needed salt. Linguine Vongole lacked flavor.

From the warm greeting from Jay right when we walked in the door to our wonderful server my business partner and I did not feel like we were there for the first time. We felt like regulars. Wonderful experience. Five Stars reflect food, ambiance, and service!

Early Sunday dinner with my daughter, son-in-law and 2 young grandkids. Waiter was fantastic. Food was very good but expensive, even for upscale Italian. Be prepared to pay $50+ for house specialties and $30+ for traditional Italian fare.

I have driven by this place multiple times and have always wanted to try it. My family and I went there for my Birthday and we were hoping it was going to be good. I was hoping that it was going to taste like real home-cooked food. The inside was nicely decorated and the bathrooms were clean.

Our food was great. It tasted very authentic. In our group we orderd the veal, lasagna, and pasta alfredo.

The portion sizes were generous so come hungry.

The service was great as well. Our server did not ignore us and was very attentive.

I did have an issue reading the menu as the lighting was too low and the menu was small printed. Even with my glasses on I couldn't read the menu. I had to take my glasses off to be able to read the menu.

Minus those issues I was completely satisfied with my experience there. We would go back again.

Today was the first time visiting Sophia’s and my family and I enjoyed so much the ambience, the service and the food.
We didn’t have a reservation and since it was Father’s Day the hostess accommodated us as soon and as comfortable as possible.
From the appetizer to the dessert everything was fabulous.
Raul was our server and he sure made a difference in our dining experience.
Sophia’s became our new favorite place to go for Italian gourmet.

A very nice place but I ordered a fettuccine spaghetti and it was not soft at all. The service was not too good, I don’t think I go back again

Best veal ever! Plus so many other awesome dishes! We stop at Sophia’s every time we visit Naples! Camille did a great job taking care of us! Plus Ernesto the Magician is amazing! A must do when in Naples!

We were ignored by waiter that just walked thru tables and seemed to want to socialize with others. When mentioned to whom appeared to be owner we were dismissed. Chicken piccata was cold. I would NOT recommend this establishment to anyone

Food - good. Service DEPLORABLE! Had dinner on 5/23/23. I would come back for the food but the service left a lot to be desired. I had the shrimp arrabiata which was cooked perfectly and served nice and hot. Rice balls were different as they contained olives which made for an interesting variation. My only issue with this place was the service. First, our server paid a lot of attention to the larger tables and not my table of two. Second, he got our drink order wrong. Third, I asked for lemon for my shrimp dish which never came. I'm still waiting.waiting.waiting. Fourth, he had an attitude when I asked for the check without ordering a desert and kind of dropped the check tray on the table without so much as a thank you or acknowledgement that the lemon never came. Our bill was close to $200 for two people. One app, two drinks, two entres plus tip. My suggestion.bring your own lemons.

This place is wonderful! They have a couple dozen versions of their veal chop. They definitely know how to prepare veal well! I had the one stuffed with mozzarella and topped with mushrooms. Also served with Cesar's salad and lasagna (your choice of pasta or side). Mom and I loved the lasagna. Sister enjoyed the chicken Alfredo, though it was a little more buttery than she prefers. The oil that comes with the bread has AMAZING flavor! Calimari was large, but nothing special. Service was excellent. Prices were fair considering the high caliber food, service, and environment. Don't be surprised to spend a lot.

Went here as friends had recommended we go. We got the veal chops as they were highly recommended. We found the sauces very watery and with very little taste. Veal Marsala had no taste of marsala at all and very few mushrooms. Not what we were expecting. Veal chops were smaller than expected as well. Know the price of food has been going up, but the chops didn't look like some of the pictures we had seen recently. The sides were ok, eggplant parmesan and a pasta. Staff were ok, but we quickly found that the "regulars" got better service. We won't be back unfortunately.

Host's cologne was overpowering and we were seated near the stand.ugh, ok, but bearable. Food was ok, not amazing, overpriced.ok that happens too. But this is why I have to say stay away from Sophia's, at least until some things change: the magician. Yes, a magician, visiting tables and performing a few little tricks. Not only that, but it was the same host who had the offensively pungent cloud of cologne about him. The first two things just happen sometimes, but I can't let it slide when they think a tableside magician is a good addition to the restaurant atmosphere.

New to the area and thought we would give Sophia’s a try based on reviews and word of mouth. First, be sure you make a reservation regardless of how early you arrive. We got there at 4: 45 and they were booked for the entire night. We were able to get a table outside which was fine because it was a beautiful night. As far as the meal however, we were very disappointed. We (3 of us) ordered a soda and water each. We got a couple refills on the water but never was given or even asked about the soda. The meals came quickly since we were the first in the restaurant. Two orders of spaghetti & meatballs and 1 pollo parmigiana, each with a Caesar salad. Everything was bland. We were not given salt and/or pepper except for the fresh pepper on our salads. The pasta is homemade and ours was rather mushy. Our bill came to $110 and we left thinking we could have definitely found better, most likely for less money. We barely ate 1/2 of our dinner and didn’t box any to go. Just not the experience, service and food wise, we were expecting. Ending on a positive-the bread is fantastic.

The food was excellent, atmosphere and service wonderful. We were a party of four and we all enjoyed our meals. The veal parmigiana was very tender and the sauce was perfect. We had cheese cake and tiramisu for dessert and loved every bite. Highly recommend Sophia’s for a great meal and a nice night out.

Love the veal chops! Got just what I was expecting and wanting- perfect score marks and delish! Bolognese pasta on the side was just alright- wouldn’t say it would make the cut if I’d ordered that as a main (sauce could have been richer), but everything tastes better with heaping scoops of Parmesan. Nice touch to offer side pasta and salad with the chops.

They are so slammed during the dinner rush, when I was sitting at the bar we barely had a second to place our orders with the server before he’d have to rush off. Had to flag them down or ask the bussers for items like cheese or pepper. I was sitting at the bar so I didn’t mind, and I can see everyone working their butts off, so hats off to the staff. Would be a nicer experience if maybe they had more waiters during the busy hours? All in all would go back again for the veal chops.

The Veal Chop was absolutely delicious!
The Chianti was absolutely perfectly matched.
Service and attention to detail was impeccable. Definitely going back!

Had dinner there on the 14th, and we were a table of 6. Four people had veal, which the restaurant is famous for, each person had their veal prepared differently. One person had the veal gorgonzola, another had veal milanes, another had a veal chop, and the 4th person had veal parm. The 5th person had fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, and I had Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled shrimp. Everyone was raving about their dish being the best, and we were all tasting each other's. I must say that it was impossible to tell which one of us had the best dish because everything was exceptional. I do recommend that if you are a fan of veal, you MUST order a veal dish, it is done perfectly, and is tender and so very fresh. Whichever way that you choose to have it prepared, I assure you that you will NOT be disappointed! Enjoy!

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this establishment. Our first impression was the host at the door who was gruff and very unfriendly. A staff member escorted us to our outside table, stopped abruptly, and without saying anything turned around and went inside. We stood outside, a bit dumbfounded, wondering what was going on. After several minutes someone came out with the setup for the table where we were to be seated. Zero communication with us, but we finally figured out that the table wasn’t ready for us even though we had a reservation. At 15 minutes not one person had come to our table. At 20 minutes my husband went into the restaurant and asked if anyone was coming out to serve us. At 25 minutes we got water and asked if we could have bread. At 35 minutes we got our bread and asked if we could put in a drink and food order. At 45 minutes, someone finally came and took our order for drinks and an appetizer. The bread was delicious, but the calamari was tough and we sent it back. We again asked if someone was coming to take our dinner order… at this point we were at 55+ minutes of waiting, and were close to leaving. When the waiter finally appeared, we advised we would stay if we could be assured that our meals would come out in a timely manner. The meals were delivered within 10-12 minutes, but our salads were not served beforehand. When I asked about the salads, mine was brought after the entree was served, although my husband declined his at this late point. The salad was half wilted, but thankfully my lasagna and my husband’s bolognese were very good. We were not charged for the uneaten calamari, but there was no acknowledgment or apology from the management for the terrible service or issues with the food. We would have had a more satisfying experience if we dined at the Olive Garden. At Sophia’s prices, you would certainly expect more. As a footnote, the times listed above are 100% accurate… I began taking notes on my phone when it was apparent the evening was on a bad road right from the beginning. We overheard a woman at the table next to us saying she had been going to this restaurant for many years, and had never had such poor service, so apparently we weren’t the only ones that had a significant issue. Two stars only because the bread and entrees were good, but the rest of the experience was a major fail.
