Soul of Korea, Tampa FL

I drove 25 minutes here because of the 625 reviews. Turns out they don't serve alcohol. Can't order a beer with my lunch. Good food. Run down facility.

This was a great place to eat at. The lady at the counter was kind, and very helpful in food selection. We had chicken teriyaki, Korean fried chicken and beef stew. It was all so delicious. I would definitely recommend for someone seeking halal Korean food.

Wonderful experience! Everyone was very friendly and helpful with menu suggestions. Be sure to bring your appetite when you come here. Me and my husband shared the Haemul Jeongol for 2 and we still had enough to have for lunch tomorrow We definitely look forward to coming back very soon!

Visited this restaurant a month ago and it was the worst Korean food I ever had in my life… I ordered the chicken wings, tteokbokki, dolsot bibimbap and a spicy beef soup, the food was definitely not delicious and I found out some weird metal-like pieces in the beef soup—they did not charge me for the soup (they did take the soup away and I only had like two sip of it) but they also did not apologize AT ALL, they were chatting over the counter behind us for like five minutes before getting back to us and just took the soup away and acted like nothing happened. I felt very sick on my way back and started vomiting when I got back to the hotel — I literally threw up all my dinner. Don’t know what happened with the food…

We stopped in here last night late, n wow did we have a surprise. The food was amazing and the staff also so nice. The best Korean food we have had yet! #doyouknowrex

Wow, wow, wow! The dish I ordered here is great! This was my first time here and I was not disappointed! Will come again! I opted for the 순두부 (soon tofu) veggie soup, it is delicious! It comes with rice and side dishes. Absolutely delicious! 맛있어요! The place is nice, clean and cozy and the staff here is very friendly and helpful! 감사합니다 (thank you) Soul of Korea!

Very delicious food and inviting ambiance! All the food we ordered was brought to the table super fast and were prepared very well. With being away from home for college, it was very comforting eating Korean food again similar to what my family makes for me. If you’re looking for good Korean food, Soul of Korea is the place to go!

Very authentic, delicious, clean Korean food. From the outside you would never guess what a hidden gem this place is. Best Korean food in the Tampa area. The service is fast and the food comes out hot. Bathrooms are very clean and well kept. I highly recommend trying this restaurant for any Korean food lovers.

Update:
We had a run last night, which means not only the taste is so bad, the quality also had some issues.
I like Korean food, and I also make Korean food myself very often.
But this restaurant really disappointed me a lot, and refreshed my understanding of a bad restaurant.
Maybe they realized that we are just visitors and treated us differently.
Anyway, the food price is so high and it's even higher than many Korean restaurant in New York, while the taste is just like what you can made after watching 10mins YouTube videos.

Basicly Tampa is a desert of asian foods, I can't believe this restaurant can get any rating more than 2 points. Literally everything we ordered is way below the minimum standards of any Korean restaurant in any small town in Midwest. The 95% of the Budae jjigae literally is only cabbage. The jeon is the worst I have ever had, even worse than the one cooked by myself, not crispy at all (which is the entry level requirement). The kimchi pork stir fry has almost only 4 or 5 pieces of pork and it was super duper salty. I thought I ordered stir fry kimchi? ! I feel so sorry for the reviewers who gave 4 or 5 points, sorry for their entire tragedy life: I can make sure they have not eat any edible thing in their past life.

Consistently excellent kimchee's. Great beef flavor on noodles (chapche), and I always get the fried chicken!

First time trying this restaurant. My fiance and I dined in and had great service and absolutely loved the food.

Florida is notorious for bland food and people with bland pallets. The food here is flavorful and doesn't taste like the usual Americanized fake Asian cuisine you're used to. Worth the drive to Tampa for food this good. Very friendly and considerate staff. Plus, halal food.

What a great place, they’re so nice, made us feel at home. The food was amazing! We’d be regulars if we lived in Tampa.
