NO REFUND AFTER TERMINAL CANCER DIAGNOSIS - We booked this guy for my sister's wedding scheduled for October 2023 in Key West. My family lives in Mississippi. We signed the contract, which is clear that there are no refunds on deposits. Understood. However we found out shortly after booking that my father had terminal lung cancer and were advised to have the wedding as soon as possible and closer to home for obvious reasons. Less than 6 weeks after entering the agreement AND 8 MONTHS from the event we notified all vendors (resort venue, makeup/hair, florist, and photographer). Every single one of those vendors were so understanding of the situation and gladly refunded the deposits EXCEPT Jim Cooper of Soundwave. They were all told the situation we were in and how devastated our family was. He did offer a credit. No thanks. Zero humanity or grace. But hey, policy is policy; even when you’re talking to the owner of the company who makes the policy.

The kindest videographers ever! So creative, so kind. They made everything seem so effortless and kept my husband and I at ease. 10/10!

Jimmy did a fantastic job DJ’ing at our wedding reception from the first intro to the final goodnight. Joanna was simply amazing all day capturing footage and then blending it together to make an incredible wedding day film.

I had debated about a wedding film after reading differing thoughts and opinions online, but can tell you I am SO glad I listened to my gut and decided in favor.

Then I had the good fortune of finding Joanna who is a consummate professional and talented beyond belief.

The day went by in a happy blur and it’s been amazing to have the film. I say film because it’s so much more than just a video. Go call them now before they’re booked for your day. Promise you’ll thank me later.

I can’t say enough about how amazing this DJ is! He made our wedding completely perfect. He listened to our song requests and music preferences to the T. He even gave our dog water when he noticed he was getting tired from running around the party! Highly recommend!

Jim and Joanna were absolutely incredible. From start to finish, they were very responsive, which was much appreciated since we planned our wedding all the way from PA. Jim actually DJ’d for us on HIS birthday this year, and without question. Hands down they were the best we could have had, and I’m so glad we chose to work them, and that they gave us the honor! I would highly recommend them both as DJ and Videographer. We had the best time dancing the night away, and our wedding video is FLAWLESS. I couldn’t be more grateful for all their hard work. They are truly dedicated to their crafts and it shows.

Jim was amazing! I hired him for my wedding in Key West, and he was able to play every song that was requested. Also able to bring Chicago house, freestyle and classics to my wedding. I absolutely had the time of my life and so did my guests! Thanks Jim!

I used this company for my wedding at Ocean Key resort for both DJ and Video. I have nothing but positive things to say for both! The music was awesome, and he basically put together the perfect playlist for our vibe. The wedding video was by far the best money I spent! I did the package for 3 videos including the 1min instagram and it was amazing!:)

We had SoundWave provide DJ services for our wedding in April at First Flight and it was absolutely perfect! After researching other DJ options and speaking to a few, we knew Jim was the man for the job after our first phone call. He was always prompt to respond, from the very first inquiry to the multiple emails and phone calls that followed. He helped with song choices when we weren't quite sure and knew exactly how to make the day flow perfectly, from the ceremony to happy hour, dinner, first dances, and reception. We had to extend our wedding an extra hour because of the rain and we lost an hour due to rain and waiting for it to stop. They both went above and beyond to make our day so special. They both are just amazing vendors! Jim had us all dancing til the very end, and joanna truely enjoys what she does and has so much fun with it!

We had Jim & Joanna for our DJ & Videographer for our wedding recently and I cannot begin to describe how amazing they both are. We had to postpone our wedding due to COVID and were adding hours and people and making so many changes during our wedding planning and both Jim & Joanna were quick to respond and accommodate all of our changes. They are also just such kind people and you can just see how much they love their work and I love that. They helped make our wedding spectacular and I would 10/10 recommend them to everyone getting married in Key West.

Soundwave was excellent and we would definitely recommend using them for your events in Key West. We used Soundwave for our wedding reception and DJ Sanaris did a wonderful job. Everyone at our reception had such a great time dancing to all of the songs that were played. We did send DJ Sanaris a timeline of events, which he followed perfectly. We also sent Soundwave a list of recommended songs, in which DJ Sanaris played many of them, and he also took some requests from us and guests. DJ Sanaris was wonderful to work with and we are still getting compliments a month later.

Cannot give enough stars for Jimmy and Soundwave! We had our wedding in October and I had very specific visions for the music for our day (both ceremony and reception) Down to the exact second that I wanted songs to start and end for parts of the night. Jimmy was amazingly flexible and made sure all our asks were executed perfectly, from timing of songs to reading the crowd during our reception, our friends and family can't stop talking about how much fun they had. HIGHLY recommend for all your wedding music needs.

Jimmy and Joanna were absolutely amazing. From the first email and phone call we had to my wedding day. Jimmy was hands down the best DJ I ever met, my kids still start about him till this day. He let them DJ with him. Everything was perfect. Joanna was amazing. I was running behind with my hair and when I got back she did everything that needed to be done till I got there. They were both so amazing with the kids & really included them in everything. Which meant the world to me. The wedding video captured are absolutely perfect I will cherish them for a lifetime. I love soundwave! Jim did an excellent job as the DJ for our wedding last week. He was more than flexible with staying late and was accommodating with our song picks. He kept the energy going during or reception and was so friendly! If you’re planning your wedding from afar like we did rest assure that hiring Jim is the right choice!

Jimmy was such an amazing fit for our August wedding at the Southernmost Beach Resort. From beginning to end, he was fantastic. Super easy to communicate with. Booking and song choices (via his online form) were extremely simple and user friendly. At our actual event, he was phenomenal. He has a great announcing voice, everything was on time and his music choices kept our entire guest list on the dance floor all night! We had so many guests tell us how fabulous he was. Highly recommend.

Best DJ ever! He was always on it, attentive and makes sure everything is going right. As a bride, you don’t have to worry with DJ Jimmy. He also has an awesome questionnaire and makes your event playlist perfect. It was better than my husband and I imagined. I don’t dance, but his DJ skills got even me on the dance floor. He reads the crowd and plays what gets the most reactions. He takes requests and listens. He is observant, fun, amazing and made our wedding day so easy. He did our ceremony and dinner at Hyatt, and re-set up on the fury catamaran, he’s a pro and the best in the game. Seriously felt like a family member at our wedding. Book him if you can!
