Great place to go and relax. Fish. Watch people fish. Talk with people. Enjoy the outdoors. Get fresh air. Sun. Awesome!

Grew up fishing here from 1955 thru 1963.one of the few places in Venice that has not been ruined by "progress"

Enjoyed the peaceful setting while eating our takeout from Burgundy Cafe. Dinner was excellent.

My first visit, and it was memorable! Didn't think I'd be looking at the ocean this way. I'm used to seeing the calm waters on the east coast. Great place to sit, meditate, and just enjoy nature.

Always great in summer except for people who keep their SUV running while myself and my mom were sitting there and could not hear.
Very self centered and annoying

The Jetty is always awesome. To bad the concessions are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Take your own food and drink.

I love this place. Its so peaceful. You can sit on the rocks and enjoy the waves crashing into them or go down to the beach and swim for a bit. If you have a boat or jet ski they have access ramps to get into the water.

Its a little for the older community, love that you can see manatees by the fishing rocks.nice quiet place.

Great view, especially when the dolphins pose for pictures. But I don't blame them if they stay away - people should keep seafood out of their diets. I just leave when I see some idiot fishing - there's nothing "sporty" about watching fish gasping for breath & dying. Just leave those fish in the water to live out their lives and end when they meet their predator.

I haven't been to the South Jetty in years. I came back one afternoon on my vacation to reminisce. In my teen years I spent many nights here, hanging out with great friends, many who are no longer with us.

The Jetty is still beautiful!

Great place, decent waves, clean friendly beach gift/ food shop if you visit you won't be disappointed sea shells everywhere also somebody found a megladon tooth

We didn't hang out on the beach, but the jetty was beautiful & there were dolphins around 4/4: 30. It's fun to watch the fishermen and all the birds hanging around them.

Nice location. But not if you want to swim here. Slime bowl with sea weed. The sea weed gets trapped in the bend on the shore. Go a mile or so south and there are more locations and little sea weed.

Nice relaxing spot to watch the surf and the birds and fisherman off the south jetty. Lots of boats going in and out of the intercoastal

Always find find something to entertain me; people watching, beautiful sunsets, interesting birds, manatee and dolphins sightings, people fishing. And wait, did i tell you its free?

Nice area. Beautiful water and nice beach area. Good place for people/boat watching. A lot fishermen out there, too. Nice little hot dog stand.

Beautiful sights, excellent parking, and close access to food all make South Jetty amazing. While the walk can get a little packed with tourists, it's an amazing place to go see the sunset or fish during off-season.

Sweet little beach. Plenty of restrooms, showers, etc. Good tea at the little bait shop. Kayak and small boat launch area. Right off the ICW.
