South Lido County Park reviews
17Awesome place. Love to go back there. Magical to see the moon all lit up. Downside, I got attacked by nooseeums for the first time. Yesterday day a picnic for my friend Heather's birthday and a cute egret was hanging out by us and a cute squirrel. A huge parking lot and bathrooms.
Looks pretty nice and clean already and very inviting. Just for what I could see from the Bay Runner Sarasota trolley.
Wow! My favorite beach for shelling and tranquility! The beautiful sunsets and amazing water! Bring your own food and drinks,
Quiet, easy and free parking. The beach sand has a shell consistency, so please wear flip flips; and the waters are shallow. I will return.
We had an awesome time kayaking. Parking can be a hassle. We were able to find a parking spot that didn't block anyone. We then paid to rent the kayaks (they got singles and doubles) for the whole day. We were taken to the launch point and from there, we just kayaked. We saw lots of jellyfishes. The mangroves were so much fun. It was tiring after maybe 2 hours.
Please carry sunscreen and reapply as often as you can because you will be seating.
Good beach, great shelling! Easy access to the bathrooms, too. Nature trails that most people don't even know about!
This is my favorite summer spot in all of FL. The beach looks like a Screensaver and it's close to great shopping and food.
I was actually just near there on a boat, but South Lido Park is a real jewel.seriously. I get it. You came to go to Siesta key beach, but here there's the same sand, fewer people, and great resources too. It's a fave for sure.oh. LOCALS ONLY!
I am never disappointed when I visit the park or beach for my morning walk to enjoy the sunrise.
I love this place I'm a hard core hunter, metal hunter that is, and I like getting out there at sun rise and firing up the metal detector and getting at it, But irregardless of what brought you here this place is a blast
One of my favorite beaches in Florida! Truly a hidden gem and the best place to find so many different types of shells! The park has a huge building with bathrooms and the outdoor shower for washing off the sand. We will be back!
It was it bit crowded when launching the kayak, but once in the mangroves it was very beautiful! The water was the clearest I've ever seen. We really enjoyed the time in the park. Shout out to the person from Sarasota County that was helping organize the launch ramp and kept things going smoothly.
My favorite beach! Can get super crowded so get there early. Parking is free and the bathrooms are right behind you.
This beach is very Beautiful. The nature trails are nice to walk on too. They have a playground for the kids also.
It is a beautiful spot.lovely place to swim also.
Definetly recommended this place. THUMBS UP
Beautiful scenic park and very quiet! I was staying nearby at the Sand Castle Resort, on my final day there, I decided to go for a walk.
About a 5 minute walk is a park with Access to both sides of the beach.
The trees are very interesting and are many varieties, the Squirrels are very friendly too
We just love this casual park and beach. Nice bathrooms, easy parking, and a beautiful shell filled beach.
