Was referred to their cardiology department in May 3,2023, here it is August 4,2023 and still never got a phone call, no appointment nothing. Seems like whomever receives referrals from primary physicians DON"T GIVE A DAMN and JUST DOESN'T DO THEIR JOB! I guess they rather see people die! Maybe the Cardiologist there needs to look how their office doesn't do work correctly, NEVER WILL I EVER USE SOUTHERN MEDICAL GROUP!

The call center was helpful and extremely nice, but the lady in the office that I was tranferred to was rude. Trying to set up a hospital follow-up for my grandmother and all she did was talk in circles. When I asked what all of that meant for setting up my grandmother's appointment, she acted like she had no idea what I was talking about. Then, proceeded to get rude and sarcastic when I kept repeating that all I wanted to do was know how soon we could set up an appointment. Her words were something along the lines of, "It'll take as long as it takes for me to log into the system, print out a paper and talk to the doctor in between his appointments, " all said in a snarky tone. First time I've EVER had any issues with anyone working at SMG in the last 8 years but that's unacceptable. They dropped the ball and she gets mad at me for being frustrated that they haven't done their job.

Dr. Gredler is thoughtful, intelligent, orders appropriate exams, and THEN CALLS YOU DIRECTLY WITH THE RESULTS. Astonishing and welcome! He is excellent.the rest of the Southern Medical experience less so.

Phone number (s) badly in need of modernizing. It is impossible to get through to physicians or their individual office.

Horrible horrible service and rude people. Have been calling for three days 10-12 times a day every single time it rings busy. Can’t get through to anyone no matter what time you call. My husband decided to walk in to make an apportionment and they told him they won’t set up an appointment with him and he has to call. He explained we’ve been calling for days (on the sole discretion of the ER doctors who just discharged my husband) and the front desk woman ROLLED her eyes and said just keep calling. Great wonderful services.

I decided to provide select details on a "1 star" review I left a while ago. To write this fully will by far exceed the space limit, so as summary: the doc put me on stress test after I experienced chest discomfort *at rest* and could not recover fully within a few months following a long, about 5 weeks, viral-turned-bacterial respiratory infection in 2020. I have been active prior to that and never saw a cardiologist in my life. The technician/doc butchered the procedure (there were a number of problems with that appointment but it would be way too long to provide details here) which made me feel much worse. I self diagnosed pericarditis after that, and successfully helped myself with anti-inflammatory; and pericarditis was later confirmed by an MRI and by another Doctor elsewhere. Doing cardio stress test (strenuous exercise) in an extreme case of pericarditis could potentially kill a person. SMG at the time ridiculed me for saying that I have pericarditis, and also that I considered that I might have had covid as that long prior infection. I have since had a confirmed case of covid, and it was identical to that past infection up to the little symptoms and dynamics, except that the second time (post vaccine) I recovered somewhat quicker; although it was also a prolonged recovery, long after I already tested negative. It appears that after I extensively and vigorously complained and accused him of incompetence (this was not best choice on my part although sincere and genuine opinion) the doc misrepresented the procedure, etc, and it looks like declared me psychologically not normal, and moreover, in violation of HIPAA did not provide me with my full record when requested, hiding it. Incidentally, the part of the record that I was provided, had a date days after the procedure, and already after I felt worse and complained, although a stress test is a real-time procedure and results are immediate.

I like Dr Barry but southern medical group is very poorly operated bad about cancelling appointment's and do so with no notice. Not be told it's cancelled until your there. Not good business

If you ever want a doctor who will not listen to you, never reviews your chart, talks down to you, send you for tests and never follow up with you and who has absolutely no patience when you try to explain to them, then cepeda is your doctor. She is absolutely the worst doctor I have ever had to interact with. Over time she just gets even worse. She has no care for her patients. If I could rate her less than 1 star I would.

I would strongly suggest finding care elsewhere, I have been in Tallahassee 50 years and have seen the decline of SMG. I have been arbitrarily cancelled 4 times.the ineptness and lack of concern is apparent.avoid

Dr. Powers is the primary care physician for my elderly mother in law.she was admitted to the ER by ambulance complaining of not being able to move.prior to that she was ambulatory. Dr. Powers ran a series of tests and procedures and then discharged her still unable move.a PT was reportedly assigned to come to the home.several days latter and after multiple calls a PT did show up and immediately called the EMTs to take her back to the hospital. She was then referred to in hospital rehab.during this process my family has repeatedly reached out to Dr. Powers to understand 1.why was she discharged, 2.what is her prognosis, 3 what are her prescribed meds.we have left numerous messages for the doctor with no return call or any other contact.

My husband was in for five day and the nurses and staff were kind for the most part have no issues with them. The people however in the lunchroom were kind of rude. And he has a very good doctor
