Awesome time with Capt. Jeff. Morning started cold and windy but Jeff got our group (including a 9 and 7 year old) out of the wind and on the fish. We pulled redfish and snook and trout all morning with fish every 10 min! Amazing time and he was great with the kids.

Jeff is a homegrown fishing guy and will get you on the fish for sure. Very professional and accommodating. I do a lot of fishing having grown up in the area myself, but I wanted to get my wife into it. It was her and I on this trip, and man did it happen for her! She got an inshore “slam” and a bunch more. She took me to school on this trip and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or guide for her. Great experience with my highest recommendation.

From the first contact regarding booking to the time we were back on the docks Capt. Jeff was the utmost professional. Our target was tarpon and Capt. Jeff put us on them almost immediately. He worked hard to find the fish as they moved and at avoiding pop up storms to keep us on the water. I have used a lot of charter services. Southern Tail Charters is absolutely top tier. I am already planning my trip next year!

Captain Jeff is very relaxed, professional and great at giving tips a tricks to anglers who have never chased these species. We had a 6 hour tarpon trip and we’re on fish all day. We had a few get off during the day and at the end of our day Captain Jeff made a great call to go to a different spot and we were able to hook up with 3 more tarpon and get one back to the boat!

Had an awesome day and caught my first tarpon! Jeff made some good calls and moves that put us on fish through out the day. Would definitely recommend and fish again.

Spent a great afternoon with my two grandsons and Jeff as we were fishing the backwaters. Jeff brought us to 4 locations and we caught plenty of snook and 3 other types of fish. Jeff is very personable and certainly knows what he is doing. Give my highest recommendation to Capt Jeff.

This sounds like a broken record but Captain Jeff and Southern Tail Charters are awesome. Took 2 of us out for a 1/2 day to try and catch our first sharks and Capt. Jeff delivered big time. Ended the day doubling up on blacktips and had a fantastic morning overall. Captain Jeff had multiple places to try so if the fish were not cooperating in one area we quickly moved to where they were more active. Ended our day in the dots which was the hot ticket for us! Cannot recommend highly enough for anyone wanting to experience a great day on the water with a great Captain.

First off I was very impressed with the communication by Capt Jeff. This is very important to me when trying to find a charter. Secondly he was great at letting us fish while still educating us and spending time explaining what we are doing. Clean boat, very comfortable ride. Thanks Cap we will see you for tarpon!

Three if us fished with Capt. Jeff today. We were a group of older (85) to younger (30) year olds. Jeff was fantastic managing the age gap ensuring safety of our 85 year old aunt, while keeping everting engaged.
We started the day by Capt Jeff spending time to ensure he understood our interest, which was to catch a broad variety of fish, including some that we could take home & grill up. He didn’t disappoint. We caught several species (snook, sea trout, jacks, etc.), carefully releasing those that we were required to. At the end of the day we limited out with beautiful nice size Sea Trout. The fish tacos that evening were out of this world.
Everyone within our group would highly recommend Captain Jeff of SOUTHERN TAIL CHARTERS without question. In fact we’re looking forward to chartering with him on our next outing in the area.

Inshore fishing in October was a blast with Captain Jeff! It was a great day of fishing, we were able to get on some snook, trout, triple tail and jacks. We went fishing with Capt. Jeff for a friends birthday. I’ve been in Florida for 5 years and haven’t had a fishing experience like I did with Capt. Jeff. He was helpful, he taught us, he catered to our needs and had great conversation. He knew exactly where to take us to catch fish and we when we had lulls we hung out and enjoyed ourselves. Immediately after we were done I called my dad to pass along how great it was and how we have to do the charter with Capt. Jeff again. We will definitely be back again.
