Dr Makimaa is a terrific Foot Specialist! I came to him with very painful Plantar Fasciitis. My pain was so unbearable I couldn’t sleep at night. Dr Makiimaa told me the treatment he would give me. The most important one is the
Laser Treatment! In 6 weeks of Laser my pain was gone. I felt so relieved to have that pain gone. I highly recommend him to anyone who has any foot pain!

What a fantastic and caring team they have at Southernmost. I have been their twice now, and Dr. Seldin is a true professional. She is super caring, and takes the time to understand what is truly happening and suggest the right treatment option. Very thankful for her and the team!

Highly recommend this Podiatry (toes, foot & ankle) practice. Drs Makimaa and Derouin are excellent and knowledgeable Podiatry providers. The Docs here are also trained in Wound Care (not foot/ankle specific).
The entire Key West staff are wonderful, compassionate people. Have been going to them for ~7 years, for a few different issues. Fracturing toes and foot bones is kinda my specialty plus some pre-existing issues.

BUT- was very hesitant to see ANY podiatrist after a 2006 podiatry surgery, done by different practice in Ft Myers. This caused me a permanent disability in my right foot. Three months after that so-called minor surgery, I saw highly reputable Foot & Ankle, fellowship trained, Orthopedic surgeons who confirmed it was a totally botched surgery. So it took a lot for me to ever let another podiatrist touch me.

Dr. Brad Makimaa and Southernmost Foot and Ankle are just EXCELLENT!
Dr. Makimaa, has spent a long time with me, going over x-rays, takes the time to answer any questions. I trust them and can't say enough good things. Also more big props to all the entire staff, who understand that I have an issue with getting to appts and have been incredibly accommodating.

Will end this review with one more point: as a retired/disabled health care provider, I'm extremely particular (fussy) about what health care providers I'll go to. I have no hesitation putting my foot and ankle care in this practice, especially Dr. Makimaa who has been my primary here.

One negative issue: Key West office needs a better parking lot including disabled parking spaces and control of huge flooding issues every time it rains. NOTE: Southernmost Foot & Ankle doesn't own the Key West property, this is an issue with owner of entire complex at 2704 N. Roosevelt Blvd, KW.

Southernmost Foot & Ankle Specialists was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong with me. The staff is extremely friendly and made my visit enjoyable. No one loves going to the doctor but this place is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend it! They also have complimentary water, coffee and cable in all of the waiting rooms and patient rooms.

Went in without medical insurance, as a walk-in on my visit to Miami. The best experience yet! Dr. Seldin was incredible, she thouroughly explained everything and took her time to make me understand. Very honest and affordable practice!

Outstanding Dr, knowledgeable and friendly staff, always made to feel at home, and pricing is right. I have been going here for years and each time I leave happy. That says a lot, especially in Miami. Cheers!

I Love these doctors! I sufferd from a rally bad pain on the back of my heals. I visited many doctors with alot of knowledge but no answer. I visited Southernmost and they were my answer to my pain. They treatedme for about 6 week and my pain vanished. Thank you so much! Excellent Doctors!

I had a 12: 00 pm appointment, but I waited in the waiting room for close to an hour, even though the receptionist told me they never keep patients waiting for more than 10-15 minutes. Needless to say, I left because I didn't have all day. Southernmost Foot & Ankle markets itself as an urgent care facility, but based on my experience, there's nothing urgent about this place. Plus, based on the exterior of the establishment, it appears to me that these people do not take pride in their work. Steer clear unless you have time to waste.
