Southport Raw Bar & Restaurant, Fort Lauderdale FL

Southport Raw Bar has been a favorite dining spot for over 25 years. When i lived in Fort Lauderdale, i dined there a few times a week. Now I drive 3 hours to get there and its worth every minute of it. The grilled mahi mahi is simply the best!

Loved everything about this place. Great outdoor seating. Friendly staff. Tasty food. Drinks are not tourist priced.

We visited from Pennsylvania and the food, atmosphere, and staff were great! I only wish we were closer to visit again!

Cool place by the canal. We always sit outside! Not much parking but food is good and not expensive. Fun place and yummy fried clams, fried shrimp and Mahi Mahi!

Always come back to Southport Raw Bar when in Fort Lauderdale! Best Oysters but specifically ask for the half and half soup! So so good! Atmosphere sitting on the water with some awesome live music! Need a place for great food great setting and winding down for an evening this is the place! Absolutely love it!

We ordered a pasta with clams and it was ugly, it had too much cheese and little flavor.we also ordered some Fish and chips, although the fish was very fresh it wasn't a big deal either. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good. But I wouldn't go back

This place is due for a complete remodel. The food is so so, and the service is not t bad, but the place was busy.

Update: after 6yrs work took me back to the area and I absolutely had to come back to this restaurant and see how it's been doing, and it is still incredible!

I sat at the bar this time, waitress was super attentive, the food was delicious and fresh. This time I got some fried oysters instead of raw and some key lime pie, which I highly recommend!

Original review: This place was amazing. I've never had raw oysters before, but I'm glad I chose this place to try them. My waitress was very kind and attentive, and the food was excellent. Although I have nothing to compare, the oysters were delicious and the blackened dolphin was excellent. If I find myself in the area again I will definitely be back

Everything was great. The bartender at the front bar, a young girl, was super knowledgeable about all the specials and very friendly. A very pleasant experience for a change.

We couldn't get a seat outside but it was nice to get seated inside right away. The food was delicious! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the corn and crab chowder had lots of crab in it.

Fantastic experience. We brought our fresh caught fish and they did not disappoint. Definitely recommend their blackened fish and side dishes. Well worth it. You can get fresh fish anywhere for such a good time and price. Cali was a crazy good waitress

Guys you need to check this place. The food is great, the drinks are good nd the view is worth a million dollars. Smoke fish dip omg, order the wings. Very reasonable prices and great service. Love it.
It’s been a long time since I was there but nothing has change a local place.

To begin, get the grilled oysters and chicken wings. Next, try out the mahi tacos or fish & chips. Trust me on this, you need all of this in your life!

Definitely my new go-to spot for seafood in the Fort Lauderdale area. It's delicious, inexpensive, and the staff is always so helpful and nice. Also has a nice little breeze in the back on the water.

This is and always will be one of my favorite restaurants. I used to come here way back in the day when I'd visit Florida. Now that I've moved here, I'm pleased to say this place has stood the test of time. I love sitting outside and enjoying the delicious fresh seafood. It's a very laid-back hidden gem.

The oysters are always excellent - year round. Big and slurpy lol.

I gave it 5 stars for what it is - a beloved place we locals love. An oyster house, a huge outdoor porch, music and great ambiance. I have eaten most of the entrees here too, some awesome, some only wayyy better than most places like this but this is not a michelin rated kinda place. This place is real.

The ambiance inside is mostly booths if you want to have a quiet conversation. Which is why i love the patio. The ambiance, the river. Often solo live musicians.

And their peña colada is yummy and strong enough to curl my toes.val
