They are clean and good groomers but terrible at reaching them and they never return your calls I think they are over extended

Stopped by without an appointment and asked if I could get my dog's nails clipped. It was no problem, and they took her in right away.

My dog and my friends and families dogs all look wonderful when leaving. I dont love that they dont answer their phones but the service inside and care provided to my fur baby make up for it. They especially take care of the special needs that I've requested for my dog. Love them!

Been going there for several years and very satisfied with their work. Very tentative to older dogs. Great friendly staff. Recommend to anyone who needs dog grooming.

Kristy and the groomers went above a beyond getting my German Shepard bathed and Nails done. My dog was terrible! “scared, didn’t want to go in the cage. He was a rescue and had a really bad cage experiences. The extra care they took to get the big chicken done, trust me I felt bad and I would say she is the best in the business! Now my schnoodle was groomed and styled like a prince. Their professional is extraordinary. A million thanks to such a caring talented group

Well I will start by saying I hope everything is ok and nothing tragic happened but I have no way of knowing. We had an appointment to have both our dogs groomed last week and were canceled on an hour before the appointment via text. We were accommodating and rescheduled for today, Monday, January 24. After loading the dogs and driving to Ruskin we found a note on the door saying we are closed and returning February 25,2022. No other explanation, text, or phone call.

Sorry to say we will not return and will be finding another groomer. Again, I hope nothing tragic happened but I can only review on the facts and what I know at this time.

This review is solely based on 1 experience. I made a booking through their Facebook page and received a text to say they will be in touch to confirm the appointment, 6 days later and day before appointment still nothing. I left a voicemail and sent an email, still nothing. It must be a good place with so many good reviews, if you can get an appointment. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Have been using Southshore Pet Grooming for years and unfortunately their quality of service has drastically decrease as they have expanded. My dog is very people friendly and loves getting his hair cut! Have heard from the owner how much of a joy he is having in the shop and how easy he is to cut. How ever the last few times there have been some grooming mistakes here and there but let it slide with the shop growing and expanding. Now this last time he left the shop with bloody ears and that is beyond unacceptable! My spouse went back into the shop to discuss this and was told they took no responsibility for it. We will be shopping for a new trimmer and advise people to be cautious about leaving your pets in their care. Hopefully they can turn things around and return to the quality of care they use to once have.

My schnauzer Dodge loves coming to SouthShore for years. They always give him care as if he’s their family member. Love you guys!

Great staff with a friendly environment and affordable prices. Very clean and they are all about making your dog feel special. This was my first time ever being to a dog groomer and let me tell you, I was impressed. I dropped my dog off and was told that it was going to take 3 hours (I was a little worried at first) and that I would be texted when my dog was ready. I picked up the dog right before closing since I never received a text, the staff gave a friendly apology for not sending the text. They all adored my puppy and said he did so well for being so young (2months). I will definitely be returning, so satisfied with the service.

~Update~
I took my dog here like normal to get his scheduled 6 week groom. I spoke briefly with the groomer and was told he had some matting in his legs. When it was time to pick up my dog, the hair on his ears was completely gone and nothing was done to his legs. I was not informed about this cut and was in total shock to see my baby ears basically gone. I would of appreciated a friendly call from the groomer before she made the decision to do what she did. He’s still cute but I loved his ears.

Have been using Southshore for a little over a year now. Always receive great service and they are so good to my crazy fur baby.

We recently moved to Florida and we needed to find a groomer for our dog Louie.well did we hit the jackpot by going to Southshore Pet Groomers. Kelly gave Louie his BEST cut yet! We will definitely be bringing Louie back!

I’m a first time dog owner and recently rescued a black lab and she needed to get some grooming done. I looked up places in my area and came across this place based on the amazing reviews. My lab got a bath, nail trim, and dental cleaning and I was very impressed with the service, mainly because they were patient and not bothered by my dogs excessive barking! I will definitely be coming back and my lab loved her bandana! Thanks Kristy!
