3Staff could definitely stand to be friendlier. I was made to feel like a huge bother for using the teller for a simple transaction.
$8 to cash a check from your own bank because I’m not an account holder. Absolutely ridiculous charge. Staff could not articulate what the charge was for. The only explanation was the fact that I am not an account holder with them and said there would be no charge if I had an account. I guarantee you I will never have an account with a bank that does this. If I write a check to somebody, they should be paid, every penny of that I wrote to them, regardless of where they cash the check, but especially if they cash the check at the bank it was written from. There is no additional risk to the bank or work involved.
Do better SouthState.
Had an issue with an account number. Spoke with Sarah who was very friendly and accommodating. She was able to correct the error in a timely manner. Good customer service.
