Dr. Avril is fantastic, he explains procedures to the level of detail you are interested. The staff is friendly and professional. Great office!

SWFEC doesn't care about their customers. First after waiting three weeks for an appointment, I was told after waiting for 45 minutes to see the doctor that they wanted to dilate my eyes and then have me wait for another hour before he could see me. Thanks but no thanks. Sit in some dark room with my eyes messed up for an hour? I think not. Watch when they auto-respond with some positive response like "Thanks so much for the feedback. I have spoken to the team and we are going to get right on fixing those issues. " They don't care about their patients. I would NOT recommend their services to anyone. Don't go here.

I went in for my annual preventative care check up and I am receiving a bill because they sent it to my insurance in correctly. No one will call me back. I have talked to a man in billing that told me it was coded incorrectly and they need to do the changes in the office or the doctor needs to do the changes. Nothing has been done. I have called five times and no one calls me back, I am filing a complaint with the insurance company. I have talk to them. I am not supposed to receive a bill for this. It is covered by my insurance if it is billed correctly, apparently nobody knows they how to do their job at this place. I also ordered lenses here many times put in my sunglasses and the last time I did it she ordered the wrong color she put brown lenses in instead of gray.

Very satisfied, the doctor explained everything in a way that is easy to understand and the staff are very friendly and professional.

I’ve been going to the Cape Coral office for a few years and have never had any issues. The doctors are excellent, and the staff has always been super friendly and given excellent service, but recently I ordered new glasses, and since then, I’ve been having issues. Paula has been great at returning my voicemails to let me know what is happening. I spoke to her last week, and she told me my glasses should be ready on Monday and that she would call me. I’ve been calling since Monday, and I have left multiple voicemails asking if they have come in, and I’ve received no response. I went into the office today because nobody had answered my calls all week. I received my glasses, but Paula was at lunch. I was told to call back if I had any issues with my glasses. I’m having problems seeing out of my new glasses, so I’ve called multiple times, and no answer again. I spoke to a receptionist and told her Paula was not answering me and asked if I could talk to someone else, and she just sent me to her voicemail. Not happy with the service, especially since I paid for glasses I can’t even see out of.

Dr Avril is the best. I’m looking forward to meeting Dr Johnson after his retirement. The whole staff in the Cape Coral office is super friendly!

Everyone who works there are very nice and truly cares about the job their doing.
I wasn't too thrilled that I had to wait 1/2 hour to be called. Plus the waiting room was freezing.

The staff is cordial and efficient. Dr. Avril is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain if you have any questions. Appointments start on time. The facility is clean and neat.

We have been going to SW Florida Eye Care for about 4 years now. After my most recent experience with Paula we will be looking for another provider. I had been in for an eye exam about 2 weeks ago and when I left I was told I had $200 towards contacts. I called back at the end of last week an ordered a year supply of daily contacts. When I ordered them with Paula I got the price for a years supply. She also told me I had a small bill left from my exam. I asked what my insurance covered and why I owed what I did, which was understandable. She told me what the contacts would cost and I gave her my credit card. When I picked them up and then left it dawned on me that with my $200 insurance credit plus what I paid was a lot of money so I called back. Paula told me I didn't tell her I wanted to use my insurance so she didn't use it, it's not her responsibility to ask patients, it's theirs to ask her. She thought maybe I wanted to pay full price for them. Which is ridiculous thing to even say. She was adamant that it was my error, I SHOULD have told her. If I wanted it use it now I could order more contacts or glasses, it was to late. Finally at the end of the conversation she said she would check with her boss but again let me know it my error. This isn't the 1st time she has been unpleasant, she also tried to tell us in the past that we had to wait 1 full year to use our benefits and that isn't the way ours runs. It's September to September but she know better. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has had the unpleasant luck of talking with her.
