Very much a rip off company. I have a 40 foot flat bed. Took it in for an estimate on getting the breaks fixed. When I got the estomet it was over $6,000 dollars. I shuld have walked away rite then. They never pulled a wheel to check what was bad or worn out. Thy were going to replace everything. I brought the trailer home pulled the front axel apart. Shoos looked close to new (had new shoos and complete backing plated installed less then 10,000 miles ago on the one side. The other side was about the same.) Cleaned them up. My truck sed I had an electrical short.
So I made the mistake taking it back to Space Cost to have them fix it. It is now a month later. Thy kept telling me thy were having a hard time getting parts. Thy finally got parts to fix one break. My total bill is $2,200. I still have the back axle that is shorted out and one front brake shorted out. So I still have nothing I can use. If thy fixed the other three axles it would end up being close to $9,000. I only payed $10,000 for the trailer. I apologies I am not a good writer.
I just wanted people to be aware. After I pulled the front axel apart replaced the leaky seal and reassembled everything, my new truck said there was a short in the braking system. I unhooked the front axel. The problem was still there. Then I unhooked the rear axel the problem went away. All the lights worked. So I found out if either axel was hooked up to power.it showed a short. When you stepped on the brake pedal the rear axel was working. The front axel was not. The only electrical component is the magnet. Two of the backing plates were coming into space Coast >so I took it back told them what I had done. (There was an electrical problem). Space coast had gotten in two of the backing plate assembles. I made the mistake of figuring they would install both of them on the back axel. After three weeks of having the trailer they installed one backing plate assembly on the front axel and a new break drum for $2200. So now I have a trailer with one wheel working but everything else shorted out. Space coast had told me they had been sued. I think if they can't replace everything they will not want to do the job. I can't blame them for being concerned. But they have to use some common sense.

Buyer beware! Everything here is a rip-off and completely overpriced.

I was greeted warmly by the staff. I brought my trailer to them for a new 7 pin wiring connector. All the lights worked, the electric brakes wire came off in the connector. So I took it apart. I decided I didn’t want to mess with it. The heavy set gentleman suggested a wiring box and a new 7 pin. Let’s do it. Grease the bearings while it is here. Perfect. All seemed well. Then a lady called me and tells me the lights will be $1350. What? No way! For a box and a connector. She says all the wires need redone. I know that they don’t. They all worked before I took the connector apart a few days ago. They said my bearing and drum is frozen, but it spins freely when I jacked it up and spun it. They didn’t take it apart to determine it. I will fix my connector myself. I didn’t want to do, so I thought I would give the business to the Brevard county small business. It cost me $50 to get my trailer back. Be cautious with them.

I blew a hub late on a Friday night 5 miles down I-95 from their exit. I had to stay overnight and when I got up in the morning I looked up trailer repair and found Space Coast. Robert was extremely helpful, polite and friendly and got the right Brake Drum Hub and kit to replace it. When I was unable to get the frozen bearing off the spindle myself I had to take the tire off and luckily drive it only less than a mile to their shop. Robert and Wayne the owner very graciously stayed open past their closing and Robert was able to free the frozen bearing and do the repair, replace the old tire and rim and send me on my way. These guys are real gentlemen and professionals and they didn't stick me up for the job charging a very fair price for hub, tire and rim. A real exceptional company compared to others in the boat repair business. 5 solid stars for Space Coast Industries. Highly recommend!
