Speakeasy Inn & Rum Bar reviews
23Was a great comfortable clean room. Good location. Nice people coming there to relax as well. We will be back!
Came to celebrate my 10yr anniversary. And what a place for just us 2. My husband loved it. Being so homey and being on Duval street as well.
Cute little spot. So homey. Cute room. Love the location.
Everyone so friendly. Mindy so down to earth Anne answered all the questions.
The drinks were good and reasonable pricing.
Definitely will be coming back.
The location, cleanliness, and ambiance of the Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar is so excellent! Upon our arrival, we were welcomed and assured that the room was disinfected and the woman who greeted us even went out of her way to go up before we did and wipe everything down one more time. Everyone you meet here is awesome, from the bartenders to Captain the cat who greets you at the doorway, you’ll definitely feel right at home!
We didn't stay at the in, but we did visit the rum bar, which was fantastic. Great selection of rums, and our bartender was practically an a afficiado of rums. Altogether a great experience.
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit RoomBully.com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
Speakeasy was fantastic! Old Key West charm and hospitality. Great location close to sights we wanted to see. The room was so clean and comfortable. Great get-away with friends. Lucky to have been able to book a riom. Would recommend.
Great warm and clean place. Wifi signal is low. It's also a bar so can be loud at night but it's a very happy place
I think they said 500 different rums, in a friendly, cozy setting. Nice porch for people watching.
My wife and I have been coming to Key West for 7 years and have stayed at the Speakeasy for 6 straight years. The staff is great, the new hire last year was Scott and he is very nice and took care of us very well. The whole staff Tanya, Pat, Ann, and all the rest through the years have made our visits fun. The rooms are clean, the rum bar is very cool and sitting out on the front porch people watching and having a few drinks is a nice evening after a day of activities.
My best friend and I just spent or last night here and we loved it! Great location for walking around, eating shopping - they even have a Continental breakfast! Ask them about the bike delivery, it's free and the rental is just $10 a day. All of the staff we've met have been great. Our room is the cute little small one in the back, perfect for two people but probably no more than that. We both enjoy little finds like this and we're really glad we stayed here.
So we have stayed at the Speakeasy Inn now for 4 straight years, we even have recommended to family and friends who has stayed there over the years. Anyway, this last Christmas eve we had a problem with our bed (it is broken, uncomfortable, and extremely squeaky), and requested to switch rooms.
They were unable to switch us, so we were forced to check-out. Then the new employee (Scott) who constantly was smoking outside of our room, very nasty, with a full ashtray, that we could smell all the time! Went on to say the owners are unavailable but will call us in a few days to work out the money details (they make you pay for entire reservation before you check in, plus we had a prepaid night deposit from many months ago as they require).
We were never contacted. We have tried to call 3 or 4 times and they will not even answer the phone. We were not refunded a single penny, they charged us for our entire stay, even though we stayed only one miserable night with hardly any sleep and a hurt back. We are shocked. Never again. Worst treatment ever for dedicated customers. AS far as we our concerned, this new management are thieves.
Suite style rooms with kitchenettes. Very friendly staff. Continental breakfast every morning. In the same building as a rum bar, but still quiet in the rooms.
Location, location, location. Got the smallest room and would look at something bigger next time. Warm and friendly staff. Clean rooms. Rent a bike and see everything.
I have been there just for a drink and it was the right thing to do! Cocktails are really great and the free tables outside are very nice
Check out the excellent rum bar in the lobby. Ask Bahama Bob for a fresh Painkiller, made with real ground nutmeg. Overall decent local bed and breakfast just south of the party zone of Duval.
My family had such a great experience staying here. All the rooms were just a little different so it was fun to see who got what and be really close to each other. The place felt like a home away from home. Hot breakfast in the morning and a cold drink at night. 100% rebooking. *not enough parking decals to go around though, and they need to change that, but were super receptive towards my high maintenance family anyway. A-
Fantastic drinks. Go with the pain killers and your night is going to be great. Always friendly and always fair.great place
Great drinks, great atmosphere, and great service. A perfect place to stay for a Key West vacation.
Very nice room (#2). The wifi signal is a bit spotty, but I'm not on vacation to be on my device all day, so it's fine. Nice location away from most of the places on Duval with loud music after dark. Great hospitality, solid continental breakfast, and a discount on (great) drinks at the Rum Bar downstairs are all pluses in my book!
Absolutely friendly and accommodating staff is like family. Right above the Rum Bar and in a great location. After getting back 'home', it was great to sit on the porch or balcony to people watch.
We'll be returning, so I recommend the Speakeasy Inn Guesthouse.
Really special find with fun bartenders a great atmosphere and all the rum you can imagine lots of fun
