It’s been almost 6 months since we moved back into our home which was a complete demo! Fernando and Leo continue to help us when needed even for little things like plumbing for a faucet etc - the house next door is now up for sale and we have suggested Spec development as a builder / contractor to anyone we see interested in it! You cannot go wrong with this builder and these days a lot of things can go wrong! Thank you!

I was compelled to update our review - we’ve been in our lovely home a little over a year now and have experienced other folks with build projects in 2 other condos we own in ft myers and Irvine California - when I say Spec Development is the best around builders out there I mean it! Nothing compares to the responsiveness and professionalism with Fernando and Leo! To this day if we text or call or email they respond to us almost immediately! Our home is awesome and we continue to get many compliments from our friends and family! This is our dream home!

Did a demo after the flood. Not on time and did not perform according to their bid parameters. Very overpriced

I almost rarely leave reviews online but working with Spec Development to remodel my condo in Naples has been an amazing experience. I had to work remotely as I don’t live in Fl. Leo and Fernando were so great. They were responsive, detail oriented, provided a very hi level of quality, finished on time (despite hurricane), and on budget. What else can you ask for? If I could give 6 stars I would do it.

Our condominium association decided to build a new Pool House in our common area. SPEC Development was responsive in the bidding process, but more importantly in the construction phase of the project. With difficult supply chain and permitting issues, SPEC navigated the process with professional skill. They provided architectural and engineering resources to get the project started. Their work as General Contractors ensured the highest level of skill and outcomes were provided throughout the construction. Their overall knowledge and experience were so helpful in the project that I had total confidence that all 80 of our owners would be proud of the results. And they are. I recommend
SPEC Development without question, as they were the perfect partner for our project.

I just finished a complete renovation of my kitchen and master bath with SPEC Development. This is the first major project I have done and I can happily say that Leo and Fernando delivered everything as promised, plus some. From our first meeting, where they took time and explored ideas and listened to what I wanted, through the design presentation, and throughout the construction SPEC Development and the crew were extremely professional and talented. They know what they are doing, and add value from their vast years of experience, bringing ideas that made the project even better.

All of the trades people delivered quality and the result is spectacular. I was living In my home through the renovation and what could’ve been a nightmare experience ended up being a livable situation throughout.

We did a complete remodel of our condo in Naples, Fl. This was taken place while we were back home in Michigan, However with Fernando sending the progress videos and constant communication with Leo, the renovation went smoothly. We picked the right company!
The kitchen was opened up to enjoy the view of the Marco River, the flooring was raised to one level with LVP, Guest and Primary baths completely remodeled and so much more! They are very knowledgeable and skilled in what they do and it shows. They will help you in any way possible and that is huge!

Where does one begin when you want to write the "best ever" review for a builder and construction company?

First off, we are not new to renovation work for our homes and condos in the past. I am pretty OCD and very particular on follow up and communication, quality and so detailed oriented, I keep a running excel spreadsheet on EVERYTHING!

We did obtain a referral from a person in Pelican Bay who knew this company well for their work in PB. We are more than satisfied with Fernando and Leo at Spec Development in Naples. We are ecstatic!
From the initial meeting at their offices, consultation at the house in person complete with IPad and drawings, and through completion of the renovations everything was well organized, communicated and executed! They are completing the job EARLIER than expected which just does not happen these day but with their guidance to order things early.we have been in great shape! We did a total home gut job and renovation including a whole kitchen, dining room with gorgeous cabinets throughout and built in custom cabinets in the casita/pool house and laundry rooms as well. Also, 3 whole baths and 3 bedrooms!

When the project started we knew we had to wait for permitting etc.but once that was done the demolition was quick and went flawlessly, the sub-contractors and workers were all very nice, professional and CLEANED up nicely at the end of every work day which was important for us. We actually lived in the casita for about 4 months while the work was being done on the house and they hooked up my fridge in the garage for us to use while we lived in the casita with a microwave and coffee machine.

I wanted to list out the things we found to be exceptional with Spec Development.

1. Ease of planning and explanation of why or why not to proceed with a design we wanted (moving walls, taking out the arches in the walls and updated the overall house). We selected all of our tile, quartz, marble, sinks etc.all from their office selections. No need to hunt around at all the different tile stores! We also recently decided to use them for our built in master closets as the quality and look is stunning.

2. Communication was over the top, excellent really! We would text or call any time of any day and Fernando and Leo ALWAYS responded often within minutes and on weekends too! They both would come to the house 1-3 times per day to check on their workers progress and talk to us about the next day and the plans of what would be accomplished. When we traveled for 3 weeks during the renovation we were able to communicate with them via video/phone/text everyday and never felt that we were missing a beat while we were gone!

3. Quality of workmanship and attention to detail was extremely comforting to us. These guys will not let you down! Pricing and payment terms were fully disclosed and very fair and reasonable for the quality that we received. Jessy is the office manager and she is very professional and bill paying was a breeze.

I think this sums it up, we will use them again 100% should we ever need renovations and remodeling of a home! Cindy says, "With all my heart, I can honestly say the experience of a total home remodel was a lot less stressful and actually fun with Fernando and Leo. Amazing experience. My sister and her husband had Spec Development remodel their condo in Fort Myers and referred us to them. We were very impressed with their condo and thought we would not be able to have something as high quality. We were so wrong. Spec Development just completed a home remodel involving new cabinets, countertops, floors, painting, new trim and doors. The work was exceptional, on-time, and on-budget. Fernando and Leo are great at communicating; throughout the entire process they kept us in the loop. We made our selection for materials at their beautiful showroom. Hiring a contractor is a stressful chore, however, the team at Spec Development makes it easy! Thank you!

We retained Spec Development LLC to make three improvements to our new home in The Isles of Collier Preserve in Naples:

First, they upgraded our stock closet shelving to a much improved closet management system with drawers, cubbies and shoe storage shelves. Their grey textured materials where a big improvement over the standard white alternatives. Our closets look very neat and clean now.

Secondly, Spec designed and installed a very nice, wall entertainment unit in our living room. They custom designed the unit to fit our space and to meet our requirements. It has beautiful, thick glass shelves and a high level of fit and finish. Dimmable LED lights give it a beautiful look that accents our display items in various lighting conditions. We like the storage space and finished look it gives our living room.

After being satisfied with the first two projects Spec LLC installed for us, we awarded them a third project, a custom designed outdoor kitchen.
Spec reviewed our space, discussed our requirements and proposed a design. They just completed the project in a timely fashion. It meets and exceeds all of our requirements. The appliances are high grade, the tile and work surfaces are beautiful and we love our new outdoor kitchen.

Needless to say, we are recommending SPEC Development LLC to our friends and neighbors for projects of this type.

EXCEPTIONAL FROM BEGINNING TO END! We hired Leo & Fernando of SPEC Development for a total renovation of our Ft. Myers condo and to say they were unbelievably good is an understatement. We were so impressed during our first consultative visit as they listened, recorded every detail and made excellent construction and design recommendations that no other GC's who came through had done. I.e.: They explained that the stove top I wanted wouldn't work unless I modified my cabinets, or the sink I wanted would require a cabinet modification. The quality of their work is superior and they never cut corners on the finishes they provided. For example, the walk-in glass shower doors are thick, and super high quality, the soaker tub they chose coincidentally was the exact tub I had selected and was nervous to show them thinking they would tell me it was out of budget, and even the kitchen sink was the highest quality gauge steel.
Besides guiding us through our process and providing exceptional workmanship, their attention to detail and communication were second to none. I am an extremely detailed person and expect a generally high standard from service providers. Until SPEC, I have rarely come across people who function at my same standard. Leo returned every single call, text and email I sent over the course of 9 months (First meeting to completion of project). I never wondered what was happening with my renovation or when my call might be returned. When I communicated 10,20 or even 40 details, Leo was on top of it and literally NEVER missed a single detail! Of course, there were little things that needed additional attention throughout the process because they work with teams of contractors, but Leo & Fernando generally caught them before we did (did I mention we did our renovation long distance?) and if we saw something that needed a tweak or an adjustment, they were always in complete understanding and agreement and got it fixed ASAP. On top of an outstanding experience, Leo & Fernando have a team come in at the end and clean so that when they turned our condo back over to us, it was literally move in ready. I would recommend Leo & Fernando (and shout out to Jessy too!) at SPEC Development without any reservation. They are the very best in all of SW Florida and we are so happy we found them to create our dream home!

We just completed a remodel project with SPEC at our condo in Bonita Springs. They fully gutted and remodeled our kitchen, three bathrooms and installed new flooring in three bedrooms. They also stripped wallpaper and painted all ceilings, walls, trim and doors. We chose many of our finishes from their showroom in Naples. We are very happy with the end result. They did what they said, were on time and on budget. The communication was excellent throughout the process which was particularly important to us since we were out of town for the duration of the project. We would highly recommend SPEC Development.

Excellent experience assisted with removal of drop ceiling, of business. Very professional, was surprised as dealing with contractors usually is a headache however they showed up and actually finished early. Thank you my dining room looks amazing can not wait for us to be able to Invite our customers back.

I can't stress enough how professional and attentive the two brothers that own the company are. We went from an ok kitchen to an out standing one. Beautiful! They put new doors and drawers on our existing cabinets and also had pullout drawers put in for better arrangement of the space. New quartz countertops and tile back splash. The quality and value are very affordable. Leo and Fernando are spot on in getting things done. They have quality workers in all the trades.
