If you're looking for a great place to relax after a long day of work downtown. Go somewhere else. This is probably a better place to just get takeout.

First, here's the good: The burger I had was outstanding. It had bacon, fried egg and garlic sauce on it, and the patties had crisp edges you don't usually find. It managed to save what would have been a truly miserable experience.

The mediocre: Their menu prominently features mac n cheese, so I got that as a side. It was flavorless, nothing special at all. For the mac n cheese entrees I saw other people eating, they apparently start with mediocrity and load it up with other stuff to make it more palatable. I can't recommend the plain mac.

And now the bad: This space is extremely uncomfortable. Most of the tables are high-tops with backless square metal stools, the kind it's impossible to relax on. They only have two tables with regular chairs, which of course were already taken. With all the metal surfaces and hard edges, there's no sound absorption, so the place is effing loud, so loud that I couldn't understand a word the cashier said to me when I placed my order. To make matters worse, they blast music loud enough to be uncomfortable when you're quiet and impossible to hold a conversation over without shouting.

I was so stressed by the noise and the uncomfortable furnishings that I changed my order from eat-in to to-go. It was better to wade through the panhandlers and clouds of cigarette and pot smoke on the sidewalk outside than endure that cacophony inside. I would probably order take out from here, but only if I called in ahead and didn't have to wait for it in their miserable dining room.

Five stars for the burger, three stars for the mac n cheese and zero stars for the ambience rounds up to three stars.

Really good adult Mac & Cheese not the box processed mess. I got the Foghorn Leghorn made with cavatappi noodles, Gouda/various cheeses, bacon, broccoli + chicken I think. Really good portions about 2 meals. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town or just riding through.

First time going here and had a great experience! Tried their steak sandwich and it was fantastic! Juicy, tender, thick bites of steak paired great with the other toppings. Service was friendly and fast and a very easy location in Downtown Jacksonville.

This spot came thru for me. Everything seems to close down in Jacksonville real early. I needed a evening meal and drink. The service, meal, drink and price were complimentary!

It's great but they allow homeless people to come in, sit next to you and aggressively beg for you buy them stuff.

Had it delivered to work and got no fork or spoon so that’s pretty disappointing because I have no way of eating it now.

Not much to look at, but the food was great (I got "The Homegrown" with pasta salad) and filling. Service was quick too!

My props to Chris, Barmaster Extraordinare. Came in and ordered some food and a couple of drinks on a Tuesday night. There was a moderate crowd. Chris was the only employee out front. Then, a graduation party of about 18 people came in followed by another dozen or so patrons. My girlfriend and I watched as Chris cooly handled all of the food and drink orders by himself, taking payments and delivering the items to the tables. This guy never looked phased. Would love to know his secret.

Now onto the food! The Duval Dirty Bird was fantastic, especially as a grilled chicken sandwich. So much flavor, and the chicken wasn't dry. The mac n cheese side was good, not my favorite, but my girlfriend loved it. I saw the entree macs, and those looked and smelled amazing. The pretzel bites with sausage beer cheese were really good. Enough to share for sure. Maybe too much salt? But that coarse salt is easily removed. Definitely better than anything I can get back home in Los Angeles!

Great food good beer selection. No liquor though. Sandwiches were really good I had the shorty pocket. It was next level with the yumm yumm sauce!

Honestly great food. Got the Burnin Man which I was initially hesitant about because of all the spices on it. But it ended up being delicious and the perfect amount of heat

45 min wait still no food, canceled and offered no sorry or apology, 2 people ahead of me canceliled also. Worst service ever, won't be back.

Do yourself a favor and eat the food here. I had the tri-tip steak goat cheese sandwich. It was quite amazing. Everything in the menu looks sooo good!
