6 Bizarre experience w/belligerent guard at gate. Insisted on scanning in my driver's license
& raised his voice with derision when I politely offered alternate form of ID. Went nuts & overreacted. Caught on dashcam.
Even police need probable cause of a crime to demand ID. Outrageous overreach.
Won't return & will insist the community group I sponsor look elsewhere for function space.
Meal was OK, polite help. 65 min wait for meal, no coffee served.
Never again.
Course is in good condition, nice layout and decent pace. Guard shack senior had many cars backed up waiting to get into the property.
People and course are great except for the pro shop guy. He should be replaced by anyone with half a personality
It's a nice golf club for the area. Pro shop has plenty of stuff, and the course was in good enough shape.
We played Spruce Creek on a guys golf trip after playing the preceding days at King&Bear, LPGA International and Venetian Bay so we were excited about playing a unique course in an "airplane community". Unfortunately it was somewhat disappointing. Most fairways are extremely thin with big patches of no or little grass. Greens rolled ok though. The big issue is they were way overbooked and we had to wait 5-8 minutes on EVERY shot which is not acceptable. We quit after 9 holes. Won't hurry back.
This course is a great course, it’s not too difficult but it a little challenging. I would have gave it 5 stars but the person who opened the place was quite rude and wanted to charge me $2 cash for a cup of coffee from the members coffee, not credit card but cash only…. I recommend the course but if you’re first to tee off don’t plan on them having coffee for sale unless you have “cash”.
