3I was visiting Panama City from Missouri and attended mass on the evening of December 30 at St. John’s evangelist Catholic Church. I have to say I can’t remember when I enjoyed a mass so much. I was welcomed at the door and told enjoy the mass, I liked that the priest stood and gave a brief explanation before each of the readings. The homily was very meaningful and applicable to our lives. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The music was beautiful and really enhanced the experience
I really enjoy the services and am now converting from a long, long line of Baptist to Catholic…. Nuff said
I'm a parishioner of another local Catholic parish but I make it a point to remember to attend the first Saturday service at St John's. On the first Saturday of every month a Mass is celebrated in Latin. It's an intriguing and moving way to hear the Mass celebrated. The music group and hymns at that Mass are wonderful too, although thankfully they are not in Latin. St John's is a great parish.
