St John's Recovery Place, Crescent City FL

I wanna start off by saying 95% of this place was cool. Helping and caring but the website puts forth a much different atmosphere than is there. And there was one BHT in particular that was so negative. She was atrocious to people and just a bad person.

My daughter Nicole just left the treatment center and spent 2 days with a man she met while inside. Not what you expect from a treatment center. Do your own diligence and watch out for the smoke and mirrors that they speak about prior to being admitted. It appears the daily therapy sessions are optional so if you feel like sleeping you just sleep in. Not impressed what so ever.

I was a client here in may of 2023 and it was a GREAT experience I've been to rehabs before and this was by far my favorite. Everyone was very kind and helpful and they had a lot for us to do like equan (idk if that's how u spell it) that's going to see horses and being able to pet them and hangout with them for about an hour also they take you on little hikes to a lake an u can go in the lake if ud like also they take you on pontoon boat ride very relaxing and of course they work with you and do group from about 915 until 5 with breaks in between of course 15 smoke breaks a day an I can't forget amazing food 3 times a day great big meals and snacks and drinks as well. Again an awesome place to go if considering getting clean I highly suggest SJRP.

SJRP helped save my life. I suffered so long in silence and coped in the only way I knew how before coming here, but with the help of the staff, my personal ambition for my recovery, and gaining the tools I needed I have been able to find the next step in the right direction for my recovery. I can’t explain the gratitude I have for the team here. They not only assisted in my recovery but taught me how to have fun being clean and sober. I highly recommend if you or a loved one needs help, to stop searching and go here, the staff and entire experience is amazing. This place offers serenity, peace, and clarity that you can take with you in all aspects of your new way of life.

This place was a part in saving my life. I want to take this time and thank all who were involved. Great techs, nurses, provider, chefs
and therapist. I will never forget that. The people in there held me up when I was down and I held up what I call my family up when they were down. I'm realizing getting off drugs was fairly easy for me. Cleaning up the mess I left and staying clean is the hard part

So, I've been thru this place twice. Once was just a detox and after that I relapsed about a month later. The second time I did their whole 90 day program and have not returned to my D. O. C.since. It's been almost 2 years now and I credit everything to sjrp, the people I met in their program, and how the relationships continued thru the entire process. I need a Ed a reminder of what I was worth and found it during rehab here. If you're thinking about oncoming here or sending a loved one here, I literally have nothing bad to say about this place. Other than salad days tha caused me to not eat lunch but thats w.e comparedo to the rest of the delicious meals they give the patient's

I will start this review by stating. I did not receive treatment here. Other than that. I planned on it. Upon a tour and told all. And saw all. I declined treatment. I am not a criminal. I don't need to be treated like one to get the treatment that I and my insurance is paying for.

SJRP saved my life. Period. Of course they have their issues (please disregard the admissions department. They don’t interact with clients at all, and that’s really the only area where they don’t care about you). The BHT staff are former addicts so they get it. From the VAT bed, EMDR therapy, equine trips, painting and music therapy, to the therapists, this facility is top notch. The food is amazing, you’ll miss it when you leave. You can eat off the floors, the rooms are awesome, it’s just an amazing place. You’ll make friends for life here. Do NOT listen to the bad reviews and the BS from other clients: if you want recovery, it’s here.

False advertising. Shame on them. They promise everything, and then turn into a nightmare once theyve got your insurance. Lies, inadequtely trained staff, dangerous prodicals. Stay away. Its smoke and mirrors.

Hi - This was my first time going to a recovery center and I was blown away by the positivity here and the amount of inner intelligence they teach.
Super, amazing staff and the daily food was impressive. The behavioral health technicians are so nice and helpful, as well as the nursing staff. I could go on and on about the amazing therapy I received there, too. I learned so much here that I will never forget my stay at St. John’s Recovery Place! That was the best month - compared to my whole year.
If you’re wondering if you’d be comfortable staying away from home, this is the place to go - everything is fresh and clean there for sure. With clean and soft blankets of course.
They are great at teaching meditation and inner work, these will be tools I can use for the rest of my life. Thank you so much.
