Originally a 5 star review. Left us hopeful with no intention to follow through. We have a cut and clear case. It's just no one wants to take on Duke Energy. They set my house on fire and I have proof from one of theor dub contractors they were negligent. I am now permanently disabled from what they did. On top of that. My insurance only paid 1/4 of the claim. Leaving us with over $100,000 in damages to make ourselves. On top of that, I have a child walking around saying he hates life and wants to die (special needs child) because our whole life has been put in a blender. That's not even the worst of it. It just tumbles on and on. One of my other children was just put to sleep for an endoscopy because of stomach pains. Know what they found? Nothing! A.k. A. STRESS! My littlest baby is 3 and had a febrile seizure in April. Because the insurance refused to fix the hot water heater that i begged them to fix over 20 times, I was unable to give her a lukewarm shower to try and bring down her over 103 fever. She ended up being admitted to the hospital because of it. Between Duke-Energy, my insurance, and the lawyers that refuse to take the time to sit down and actually look at my case that i have painstakingly documented, I have no hope for the world anymore. To have someone give you hope that things will get better and easier for your children and then they leave you stranded is not admirable.

I have not yet had the pleasure working with Mr. Douglas yet, however, he has consulted on our current homeowners claim and I can attest that he is very kind and truly has his clients in his best interest. Instead of just taking on our claim which he very easily could have made $30,000-50,000, he has twice now advised us to push through with insurance or go through a public adjuster which would be cheaper than him. That speaks volumes about his character. To turn down that amount of money knowing it would be taken from the insurance claim leaving us to pay that amount for repairs out of pocket, is truly honorable. Should we need to proceed with litigation, we will be happy to have him on our side!
