Steak 'n Shake, Sarasota FL

This is by far the most nasty place I have been to just this location the tables were dirty the food was cold and I never got my shake they don’t want to give you your money back an also took over a hour an a half for a shake I would not recommend coming to this location at all save your money

I used to come to this location all the time, 6 years ago it started going downhill and I stopped coming. I hit the drive through today and glad to say it’s returned to being good again. The restaurant is being renovated, seems like they’re making an effort. The fries were hot and crispy, the sprite was spicy, burger was awesome with the onion and pickles. $8 for the combo meal, same price as McDonald’s but this was made fresh and just tastes so much better.

Omg this place need more employees the table are dirty only 3 employees is NOT! ENOUGH come on people is this America?

We ordered delivery and Half of our order was incomplete or missing
The additional toppings we ordered and paid for were missing.
Ordered cheese fries and got regular
The email says any issues to contact the location but nobody answers the phone

Drive through is terrible, poor customer service, i waited 30 minutes for a sandwich and the guy at the window was rude.

The professionalism in that place is amateur at best. I call every morning to make sure their dining room is open so I don't waste my 30 minutes of precious lunch time going over there Every time the door is locked I call that 10am the owner says they're open it's always a lie I have to say food is okay but place is still dirty.

New here. The food was really good and reasonable prices. Also the customer service it was amazing! Will be coming back very soon.

They've kind of ripped away all the good parts of steak and shake, the food is still ok but it's basically an automated fast food place now and not a diner

Put food order in at 10: 59 got the shakes 10 minutes after the food order. 11: 30 walked up to ask when wood will be ready was told they are behind because of how busy they are. In reality sitting waiting and watching I can tell you management and employees performance is poor. Could use improvement. One positive thing is that there shakes have huge straws which is wonderful.

Worst steak n shake ever. The manger was the worst most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with.

Used to come here all the time years ago, honestly sad to see the place turned into a dump. Will probably be closed down soon sadly. Went for a drive tru order and the wait was ridiculous long, went to eat in inside the other day and now you gotta order in kiosks which is fine i guess but all the tables were very dirty from the people that had eaten last, also the staff attitude is terrible.

I ordered four shakes here at 7pm and they tasted sour, I tried calling them but the phone was asking for a remote access code and I wasn’t even given a receipt. The shakes are undrinkable and possibly rotten.

I was eating for lunch and the young man who told me his name is Lian who works there was very kind and gave us very good attention people like him I will eat there again, I recommend it 100%

Pulled in at 9: 30. Hours show open till 10. Drive thru had a cone blocking it so we went inside. Decided to order dine in. Half the place was blocked off and the only tables were filthy. Guy cooking was super nice and started our order before we finished putting in the kiosk. Very large manager with his shirt coming undone and fat rolls showing started yelling at his staff that there were no more dine in orders and started putting all the patrons food in to go bags then walked over and locked the door. I understand we were late but he was beyond rude to the rest of the courteous staff. I grew up here and it was one of the first places I went to in high school with my friends 20+ years ago. What a miserable failure it’s become.

This burger/shake combo was completely out of this world!
The chocolate Shake complete with frosted Mug, brought me back to the 5 and dime stores I remember when I was young.
I would give them a Big WOW. Best of the Best!

This is some of the worst customer service I've ever seen in my life it took them over 15 minutes to make one milkshake

I waited over 15 minutes In A drive through for three burgers and was treated poorly when I mentioned the slow service, I recommend you save your self the trouble and go to the McDonald’s across the parking lot.

Spoiled milkshakes! And we weren’t the 1st complaint! Staff got simple order of cheese fries wrong asked if we wanted ketchup said no thank you. Only to get the bag and find no cheese just the ketchup. Come on guys do better!

I have been going to Steak n shake for over 60 years.
They have dropped wait staff. You now use order screens. I have ordered the same thing for as long as I have been going there. The triple steak burger equals the same amount of meat as a whopper. The bun was cold, my wife's chili 5 ways was lukewarm, the sweet tea wasn't sweet. No wonder they are closing so many. Plus they discontinued garden salad.
