I recently had Light Adjustable Lenses (LAL) cataract surgery performed by Dr. Kane, and my experience was nothing short of excellent. From my first consultation, Dr. Kane and his staff were incredibly informative, taking the time to explain the procedure, risks, and recovery process in detail.

Post-surgery, my recovery was smooth, and the results were remarkable. My vision has improved significantly, and I am thrilled with the outcome.

I highly recommend Dr. Kane to anyone considering cataract surgery. His expertise, coupled with a compassionate approach, made a significant difference in my treatment experience.

Horrible experience. Two years ago I needed cataract surgery, and after making several appointments I decided on “Dr” Steven Kane, aka “Tailored Eyes”…
Over the course of three months I presented my insurance, which was accepted by his staff, and I proceeded to have two preliminary appointments which were in excess of $400 combined.
One week before my scheduled surgery, I was told to order medication for post op treatment.
Only days before my surgery I was told that they DID NOT in fact, accept my health insurance.
I scrambled for days to try to figure out how to quickly change my insurance to a company that they accepted, only to come up empty.
My only option was to pay cash, over $5,000, in advance, which I could not do.
I spent months going through the process AGAIN to find a another surgeon to do my cataract surgery.
At this point I could barely see or drive without glasses, since my eyes had slipped from 20/40 to 20/200 vision. I had to get glasses to continue to drive, legally.
After months of appointments and finally getting my eye surgery, I returned to discuss the issue with “Dr. ” Kane and his staff.
He then DENIED approving my insurance, although I have proof that I emailed my insurance card to his office, which was approved by “Kaitlyn”.
Finally he agreed to pay less than half, $180, of the fees l paid to him, and none of the meds. Almost $550 for NOTHING.

TO THIS DATE I HAVE NEVER BEEN REIMBURSED EVEN THE $180 THAT HE PROMISED TO SEND, IN OUR TELEPHONE CONVERSATION, WHICH I HAVE TAPED!

WHAT DOES IT TAKE FOR A “PROFESSIONAL” TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR A MISTAKE THAT THEIR OWN OFFICE STAFF MADE…?

Dr. Kane did a phenomenal job for my dad’s cataracts. He is skilled at what he does and he goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are comfortable and understand their procedure. My dad who is 87 years old told me to write this review and make sure everyone knows that Dr. Kane is an exceptional surgeon.

Just finished my cataract surgeries with Dr Kane. He explained everything that would take place, and answered all of my questions. So far, so good!

When I. Experienced cornea difficulties in late August Dr Kane was highly recommended to me by another physician. I was very upset and depressed when I first met Dr Kane. He immediately calmed me down and said that I will most likely restore my vision. Over the next 3 months I slowly but steadily improved! His calm and optimistic outlook was very positive. The last visit my refraction tests put me back to my eyesight’s before the incident! I am so grateful to Dr Kane and his wonderful staff. I rated him as the best optholmoloogist I have ever met. Truly amazing, I have great vision again. Decades after Radial Keratotomy decline, I was told that I couldn’t have additional surgery. I have worn glasses most of my 70 yr life and Dr. Kane performed cataract surgery. I chose to have "Premium Vision" which gives me freedom from glasses. The results are amazing! I experienced the appearance of floaters in left eye. Dr. Kanes' staff scheduled an appt.the next day. The diagnosis was a retinal tear. I was referred to several local doctors who are prepared for the proper treatment. None of the first three were available. Dr. Kane personally called Dr. Oren Plous, who agreed to come to his own office on his day off! I was evaluated and treated immediately. This all occurred within three hours! Truly wonderful treatment. I cannot praise the Dr.and his staff enough!

Recently had cataract surgery with Dr Kane. This surgery changed my life. I am currently 70 years old and have worn eye glasses since age 13. The clarity, brightness and colors I can now see are truly amazing. I did not realize how much I was missing. I cannot thank Dr Kane enough for giving me a new look on life. He is truly wonderful.

After wearing glasses for 62 years, Dr. Kane performed cataract surgery on both eyes, one week apart. I now see better without glasses than I did prior to the surgery with glasses! Very happy with the results and would recommend Dr. Kane with high marks!

If I had a bad experience with another eye doctor, I called Dr.kane‘s office because I had heard from a client how good he was. I was put on a cancellation list and within two days I was fit in. The office staff was wonderful, and Dr kane and his assistants were great! He found my problem, which the other Eye Doctor had missed. I feel so much better now, and I would highly recommend him and his staff to everyone!
