Steven J. Tresser, M.D. reviews
4Alert and trained support staff, great technology for diagnosis and Doctor Tresser was extremely professional and communicative.
I had posterior neck surgery with Dr Tresser in 2020. I believed in him when he told me that the first surgery from the first surgeon was failed fusion. I have not seen the film for him to show me what the failed fusion looked like. He was straightforward to respond immediately that it was failed. So I asked what the options were. Dr Tresser said it will have to be done with posterior neck surgery and cannot fix the ACDF repeatedly. At that time, I was in extreme pain with a nerve radiating from my left neck to my left arm and hand. Plus, we moved to this local area. So I believe Dr Tresser with his words. After 2nd and 3rd month post-op, I made a complaint to get Dr Tresser to meet with me because of pain. Finally, my husband and I met him on the fourth month post-op but Dr Tresser cut us off and dismissed me as a patient. He left me out that was supposed to care for me for one year after surgery. My husband and I are still appalled by his action to this day. Now, this is more than two years. Currently, I'm having small fluid in my posterior left neck and a swallowing issue that can be part of the neck surgery, according to Drs and specialists while I was hospitalized recently. If failed fusion, I don't know why Dr Tresser won't do to fix or remove this and not show me the proof of failed fusion in the first place. I am debating on whether I should contact Dr Tresser. I would encourage anyone not to have fusion but look for other alternative procedures or find a neuro specialist or surgeon who has passionately cared about the patient. I hope this post will light up, and Dr Tresser and his office will see this post. I can't give 5 stars, but one to two stars at this point.
Dr Tresser and his doctor in residency, Lazaro Mesa, were outstanding. The two reviewed my numerous images together, and I was seen by Dr Mesa. He was generous with his time and attention. This appointment was for an additional surgical opinion, which offered more hope and options than previous neurosurgeons. I plan to return to Dr Tresser in the near future.
