Stevens Animal Hospital, Pompano Beach FL

We have been bringing our dogs, Shorty and Yoda to Marlene for the past five years and could not be happier. Marlene treats our boys as if they were her own. Shorty is very particular about who he is around and he never bats an eye when he sees Marlene. Yoda is a momma's boy and hates to be separated from me, but he loves to run around and have a doggie day with Marlene and the team when they go in for grooming. Thank you Marlene for taking such great care of the kids and making them feel special. Not to mention they are always so handsome when we pick them up from grooming. Also, Dr. Z and Dr. Stevens have been nothing but informative and caring with all four of our babies (two dogs and two cats) these past five years. Thank you to the entire team!

A new vet for me after 13 years at my previous one. I rescued a dog and decided to try this office. They are AMAZING. The staff are kind and the docs are knowledgeable. My dog was recently spayed and I trusted them completely! Highly recommend

There are not enough stars to really show the value
of the service. The atmosphere is so welcoming, my typically neurotic dog would nap while we waited. Dr. Chris is most caring, warm, gentle vet I have ever been to with my dogs and cats. She checks my animals head to tale each time and takes time and care, never skipping anything to speed up the process. Dr. Mark is a wizard surgeon, has operated on both of my dogs. The stitching was perfect and incision healed fast and with no complications or even scars. Several times my old dog had emergency situations and I was always able to be fit in and once Dr. Mark stayed past closing time waiting on us to arrive.
Techs are super too. They clearly love the animals, very gentle and kind. Veronica and Maggie have put up with a lot of wild cat n puppy behavior and never lost their patience. Thanks are not enough to show my gratitude!

Twice in the last 6 months I have brought fur babies to SAH. Twice in the last 6 months I have been supremely happy and terrifically pleased with the sincere love and care shown by the doctor's, assistants and all staff. Jack was the amazing vet, assistant for both visits and Doctor Mark was there for my most recent visit, just yesterday. Again, I was supremely touched by their love and care for animals. They always value the animals and consider what is best for them. In addition, They consider the financial impact to the owner or person trying to give the animal a better life. Their huge hearts show for all animals, for their owners and those trying to give them a better life. Praise God for Doctor mark, Jack and everyone of the caring and talented staff. Helen Lloyd

We searched everywhere to find the best groomer for our dog Timmy and we finally found her! Marlene does an amazing job with grooming and is very professional. We appreciate the time and effort she puts into her groomings. We also bring Timmy here for his regular vet and the staff are extremely friendly and caring. Cannot say enough good things!

Best and most knowledgeable and empathetic veterinarians. Dr Christine and Dr Mark go above and beyond. They truly care about animals and humans. I have been going there almost 15 years and I can’t say enough about how much I trust them and how thankful I am to have found them.

We have been clients of Dr. Stevens for 20 years. Every member of their team is amazing and there is no other vet team in the area as compassionate and kind as they are. About 4 years ago we started to use their groomer, Marlene who we adore. She has worked with us for our past 4 dogs and does a great job. You can see from our photos how amazing she is. I would recommend Dr. Stevens and Marlene for all of your pet issues. They are a first class act!

One star is too nice. They deserve zero, not they, but one doctor who mis diagnosed my dog that almost died of cardiac failure. Dr Zeitz was my doctor who was seeing Gorilla for over 2 months. In all his test in all the times he was there.never was Gorilla's heart mentioned to me or in his files. Gorilla was diagnoses with congestive heart faliure on Tuesday 21 feb. Dr Zeitz made me spend money on test that were irrelevant for what GORILLA was going through. He thought it was un under active adrenal gland he thought after xray could be tumor in the liver, said it might be cancer, had Gorilla stay there three hours to do another test each time $250, more blood work and all came back normal, never once did he recognize on Friday GORILLA had 2 liters of fluid drained from him at the emergency hospital after i sent a photo saying he does not look right. Dr Zeitz never checked the one organ that keeps you alive his HEART. To me i think he should never see another animal again 34 years and he doesn't check an 9 year old english bulldogs heart in months of looking at him for skin issues and other issues that he gives medicine for. I didn't know it was that difficult to take your stethoscope and check the dogs heart beat, if he did gorilla would have been diagnosed much sooner. Thank god i noticed his fluid and acted. Im disgusted with all the money i spent on blood work to hear that gorilla has a disease you do not get congestive heart failure over night. This was blatant mis diagnosed and took my money for process of elinination. Stevens animal hospital should be embarrassed that gorilla files never once mentioned a heart problem. Thats the problem and a big problem for Stevens animal hospital. Oh also the x rays they made me pay for he was looking at the liver not the heart or all the fluid sititng in his stomach. So he is clueless as a 34 years as a veterinarian. Im livid. Enjoy the review its the truth. The files speak for themselves.

We couldn't be more pleased with the care we received for our dog by Dr. Mark Stevens and his staff (Elena and Jack to name a couple of staff members who cared for us and our dog). The communication and information from Dr. Stevens about our critically ill dog was exceptional. Dr. Mark did not rush into surgery and was hopeful that she did not require surgery. After a couple of days with treatment, she rebounded without the need for surgery! We are ecstatic! Thank you too all from Phoebe!

Marlene has been grooming my dog Sam (Golden doodle) since 2013. He is happy to see her every time. Marlene sends pictures to me and makes me feel special. She is an accent to Stevens Hospital.

I highly recommend Stevens Animal Hospital for both Grooming and Vet services.

Our dog gets very anxious and when I drop him off for grooming he is very hesitant to go back, but when I pick him up and Marlene brings him out he comes out so happy and can tell he is very comfortable with her! She does a wonderful job, is great communicating to see what you want done, and she even reaches out if there is anything concerning she notices. She is truly great at what she does!

We also see Dr. Chris for vet services and she is also highly recommended. She takes her time with you at appointments and is great with our dog, great at explaining things. You can tell she truly cares about your pet, will follow up when not expected to see how he is doing.

The office staff is also great and very helpful!

Took our dog, Phoebe, to Stevens Animal Hospital (she swallowed a foreign object and was in pain) and we were impressed with the caring, professional and sympathetic staff.from receptionist to medical assistants, to Dr. Mark Stevens. We are extremely grateful for the loving care Phoebe received and happy to say she is once again healthy. THANK YOU TO ALL individuals that took care of her!

Always a great experience with bringing our pets for grooming to Marlene! She takes special care of our Wheaten and we wouldn't take him anywhere else!

Best animal hospital! They always work with me to get my cat seen when she needs it and their prices are very reasonable. Dr. Z is very understanding and truly cares for his patients. Friendly staff too! Would recommend this place to everyone!

I really appreciate the help I’ve gotten from Stevens Animal Hospital. My little rescue needs a lot of patience and they have worked with me to help my little guy get what he needs.

I’m a few days late with this but I wanted to take my time and give this big compliment to Miss Marlene for taking good care of my puppy sassy. She did such a great job with her that all the kids even my husband and I are in love with her. She is so pretty and so cute she made her so much beautiful than what she was already because of her were able to see Sassy face and able to actually see Sassy character, she’s amazing groomer I would hands-down request for you guys to bring your dog to her. Any pet you have she’s an amazing groomer I’m so glad I came to her! She’s the bomb, can’t wait to bring her Charlie!

I honestly can’t even put into words how grateful I am for Stevens Animal Hospital. I had an emergency this morning and was In complete shambles. I got to the hospital and Heidi immediately came to help, I was in tears and upset. Once the kitty was inside she came back out and handled me with love and compassion, I can’t describe how grateful I am for this. They instantly took care of the life that was in balance. Thank you for the Doctor and his incredible staff for caring and really being there for the well being of animals. I've had the most amazing experiences with Steven's Animal Hospital and Dr. Vigo.
They took such great care of my dogs! AND didn't try to upsell me with things i didn't need, I really appreciate that kind of honesty. I live a little far, but it's well worth the trip! I'll never go to another vet. Thanks again Dr. Vigo, your hard work is SO appreciated!
