Stonewood Grill & Tavern reviews
16 We took a family friend out for her Birthday. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, & we can't wait to return.
Unfortunately, we were one of only a few patrons wearing masks & they didn't offer outdoor dining.
We'll be back but not until it's a little less of a risk taking adventure.
We had Thanksgiving dinner here. It was excellent. Diana had marinated, planked salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. I had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes & green beans. We shared a side of creamed spinach and a creme brulee dessert. Everything was excellent! I got a slice of pecan pie (today's lunch & worth every 500+ calories!). My leftovers, with added fresh steamed green beans (I am a veggie-aholic), amounted to 4 good sized Tupperware dinners! In fact, I am having one now. Our service was exemplary, by a very handsome and charming young man. Ooh, forgot: since I wasn't driving, I enjoyed a glass of the house merlot. Everything was just perfect. Diana and I are looking to return to stonewood soon.
Keep trying this place and it’s never been good. The last 2 times they actually “lost” my order. Awful service and overcooked steak and fish when I did actually get my food. Do NOT recommend.
Waited to long for a ham burger. This burger was ok but everything else was nasty salty cold won't go there again.
Casual dining in a nicely decorated place. Friends and family raved prior to my experience. My steak was chewy but everyone else enjoyed theirs. Service was very good.
HORRIBLE! We had the worst Thanksgiving dinner ever. I had an inch or less of white meat and the rest was dried out dark meat scraps piled underneath. The Cranberry sauce was a small drop of a paste like substance. Nothing like the photo. Never again.
Birthday celebration night: The service was impeccable - thank you Melissa. The Stone Wood Martinis - perfectly concocted (vodka & whispered the vermouth) wet our appetites. We began with bruschetta & spinach crab dip and each were distinctly flavorful from others. Salad greens (house) tasted as though they were freshly picked at first light. We both savored every morsel of Tuscon chicken (minus mushrooms). Overall. This was one of the finest service and cuisine experiences I've had in quite some time. Thank you!
My wife and I love this place, the atmosphere and the food is great! Every time we have gone we were lucky enough to always get Alex as our waiter. He is fantastic! We are actually going there this weekend for my wife's birthday and hoping we get Alex again
We went to try out the new Sunday brunch today. It took 45 minutes to get our food. My creme brulee French toast had onions stuck to it. We never had one person ask us how the food or experience was. My husband and daughter did enjoy their meals.
Friendly, informed server, assisted with selection of beers on their board sampler. Outstanding Sweet Tea Pork Chop, not overcooked, as promised, thick cut, moist and nicely seasoned.
The prime rib was a letdown, it was a bit dry but still tasty. The ribeye though was out of this world! We would definitely come back for it.
This is my second time here and even though the parking lot seems crowded the wait time on both occasions was very short. The staff is great and friendly and the food is just some of the best in Brandon. I love coming here but be prepared to spend a little bit more than average. But it is worth it!
Fancy decorated restaurant, very under seasoned. Small portions and way over priced for what you get. The crab dip had good flavor but was lukewarm. Would have rather eaten at Chick Fil A.
Nice scratch kitchen and attentive service. We are in and the service was prompt and polite. Decent atmosphere and food was reasonable. It kind of bridges the space between an Outback or Chilis and a higher end linen place. Perfect for low key nice dining
Service was good. Food was okay. Pork chop was so dry it wasn't edible. In fairness to them I did ask for it to be well done.
Bleu cheese chips are fantastic! Service was excellent, the menu has changed, maybe due to covid, but the food was Great! I highly recommend the blackened chicken pasta, and a beautiful piece of orange cake, excellent excellent excellent, but you have got to start with the blue cheese chips that's got to be your starter.me and my family have been eating at restaurants in this area for over ten years now, I looked for a reason to give it 4 stars and I couldn't find one, and that's rare.
