Strachan's Ice Cream & Desserts - Palm Harbor

My family's first time having an actual ice cream other than from Walmart or publix since we moved here from up north. This place has such a family oriented atmosphere (PACKED) full of people wanting some Icecream. I've ordered something they did not have on the menu, which was a hot fudge turtle Sunday. Which I felt i was out of luck, which by surprise they did for me no question asked anyway. The ice cream was rich in flavor. At this point, I'm rambling on. Just get down here and try it yourself! You won't regret it!

Good tasting but too expensive for the portions. Hudson ice cream parlor in Pasco is the place I go to. Their one scoop is equivalent to this places 2 scoops.

Went here on a Saturday evening (drove from Holiday) the place was very busy but the line went quick and ice cream was good. A little pricey but good. I am giving this 2 stars and lengthy review due to customer service. Gavin either was not having a good day or does not like where he works. He made me feel like my son and I were inconveniencing him each time time I said anything. The entire process just felt rushed and that we seem to be annoying him which made me not even want to continue with my order but we had already waited in line and my son was excited. At the end he said $16.30 but didn’t even swivel the iPad over for a tip but it’s likely he knew he didn’t do anything to earn one. My 8 year old tried to be nice and talk with Gavin and he brushed him off, which I was going to pass on writing a review until that happened. It’s a shame because it’s one of the few times my son has ever been to a real ice cream shop so the experience should have been different. Busy or not, good customer service keeps the customers coming back and the other employees who were just as busy seemed to be more welcoming and friendly but unfortunately his demeanor was so unwelcoming we won’t be returning. If I wanted to feel like an inconvenience, have eyes rolled at me, rushed to order, and have nothing be said to me except the total I could have went to McDonalds and gotten better service.

Do not go there if you just want their cake or pies. You will stand at the cash register and be ignored while the workers only tend to the people in line for ice cream. And the line grows and they ignore you and continue to ring up only those with ice cream.

When I was checking out I smelled something burning but I didn’t say anything because I thought it was coming from the backroom. Turns out it was coming from my cup. My brownie was burnt and hard from being microwaved too long (and I’m sure the guy smelled it he gave it to me anyway they were slammed). I went back and the guy was really nice about exchanging it and did not mic it this time around. Buut then I got the brownie in the video:/ (I think microwaving it was an attempt at freshening the brownie? I’m not sure how the sundaes are usually prepared)
The whole situation is confusing.

This review is purely for this one visit I had. I’ve gone many times and have never been disappointed. Just be careful and check the shelf life of what you’re being given before you leave.

Love this place! Their carrot cake shake is a must try. Lots of flavors to choose from and the service is always excellent.

Ice cream is fantastic! And most of the times I’ve been there the service has been great as well, except last time. The kid that waited on us was quite rude. Acted like it was a big inconvenience that we were even there.won’t stop me from coming back, unless it happens again.

Everything looks good, and I'm apparently not alone in my thinking. People were still walking up to order nearly a half-hour after closing fine. It's good, really good.

Long established.locally owned and operated. Stop in with kayak tour guests.

Today the guy who has lots of tattoos and a crazy look.the only person anywhere wearing a useless " mask". Maybe he has mental issues. I dunno. But he freaked out one of my guests. Gave me a dirty look.and I am l like fine by me. The Freaky Tiki boys (surf shop on Clearwater Beach) started Ice & Cream.they will be happy to take my money without an attitude.

This experience was not good for me at all.

First off, the guy was very rude and had horrible customer service.
Second- He did not even make a milk shake, I mean, I literally mean that he just gave me something weird. I literally ask for just a vanilla milkshake, and it turns out so bad.
Third- He literally doesn’t clean the blender, I mean that is probably why my milkshake tasted really bad.
And finally- A dang milkshake for literally $9 bucks + tax. That is probably around like $10-$11 for just a milkshake. And plus the place was not very clean.

I never recommend going to that place.

Yum got the mint chocolate chip in a waffle cone Yum. Two scoops is enormous mound of deliciousness. One scoop is more than enough for an adult.

Delicious, locally made ice cream, served in fresh, locally made waffle cones. Absolutely delicious! Also, always great to support a locally owned business. That said, I feel there is not enough outdoor seating, nor enough parking at this location. The staff are friendly, and the ice cream is amazing. Absolutely worth visiting.

Typically they have decent service but today it was not a good experience. Lack of staple flavors, bad attitude and lack of customer service. Pitty.

Lovely ice cream but the best part is the wonderful service. The friendly & cheerful servers are really into ice cream & helping you make the most pleasing decision.

LOVE this place! I have been going for years and it’s so good. Like I highly recommend it’s creamy ice cream, and has a good variety. The atmosphere is fun and great service.
