We are beyond happy with the wonderful service we received from Suburban as we changed propane providers. Our last company failed us several times and left us with no propane and no hot water and told us it would be 7+ days before they could serve us after their error. Suburban raised the bar for service, getting us on board as new customers and coming out to serve us in 48 hours. Brenda went above & beyond to make it all happen. We can't thank her enough! We look forward to a long relationship with Suburban

We’ve been suburban propane customers for over six years. Over the last year, we have noticed a serious decline in service, so much so that I lost all faith in the company, their word, and was about to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

We had a long standing issue beginning in July 2023 with two temporary tanks placed in our front yard, without explanation. We receive notices from our homeowner association, we were not able to use our gas grill, or heat our pool or hot tub. After going back-and-forth with several associates in the office and a few technicians that had even come to our home. We were very pleased with the excellent customer service Edgar provided. He demonstrated a level of professionalism and expertise that truly sets him apart.

Edgar first came to our home in September 21,2023. His deep understanding of Suburban Propane products, and services was evident as he thoroughly addressed all our inquiries. What impressed me the most was his willingness to go above and beyond in ensuring our concerns were not only resolved, but also that we fully understood the resolution process. He took the time to explain the issue that was going on with our underground tank, ensured the proper parts were ordered, apologized for the situation and gave his word that he would follow through until our problem was resolved, while I was skeptical based on previous experiences…. He did just that.

On November 8,2023 (had to wait until we ran out of gas again) Edgar was true to his word. He arrived to our home replaced the faulty parts and turned on our gas appliances. I can say, in addition to his technical proficiency, he exhibited outstanding communication skills. His friendly and approachable demeanor, further contributed to a positive customer experience.

It is evident that Edgar is committed to customer satisfaction and his dedication to providing top-notch service did not go unnoticed. Suburban Propane can take pride in having such a valuable asset as part of their team.

In conclusion, my interaction with Edgar was a shining example of customer service done right. I appreciate his professionalism, expertise and genuine effort he put into ensuring our satisfaction. Kudos to Edgar for setting the standard of exceptional customer service and restoring our faith in Suburban Propane.

So, ran out of gas a couple months ago. We haven't had to fill the tank since we moved in 4 years. Np. We called, paid $325 and had them fill it up. A couple months went by and we had only used the gas maybe twice. I realized a smell. Opened up the cover and could hear the gas coming out the top of the tank, not to mention the smell almost knocked me out. So, I called and had them come out to investigate it. He found that their regulator on their equipment was bad and (all of a sudden), he says we have a leak in the line underground. Ok, things happen. Lets just get things taken care of. When my wife called, they tried to charge us for the regulator, then the cost of the contractor to come out. They also want to charge us to fill the tank up again. My wife explained that it was their falty equipment that leaked right after they filled it and they should re-fill it at no cost to us. Thats only fare. Its their equipment that failed. Debra (I think her name was) replied "sorry, we dont give out free gas" ahhh but you do put in faulty equipment that causes a leak and waste the gas we paid for, then try and charge us again. Then, charge us to dig up the line and replace that as well. I'm pretty easy. I try to be fair, and would be more then happy to compromise on the cost. I understand things happen, but when they creat an issue with their equipment and aren't willing to atleast have a little accountability for that equipment and their services and try and make more money off us, tells me everything I need to know about them. Hopefully other potential clients read this and simply scroll down to the next propane supplier. I should have realized what they're like when i saw the 3 star rating!

Well, I was gonna write a very long and thorough review, but it won’t fit. Let me just summit up like this did not use this place. I don’t know about other locations, but do not use Tampa Suburban.

You could never speak to a manager they are afraid to talk to customers, there’s a woman there named Brenda, who pretends to be a supervisor, but she doesn’t know what the hell she’s doing. She’s rude and toxic, and completely incompetent. You’ll just go round and round in circles talk into a bunch of buffoons who don’t know what the hell they’re doing. This place needs to be shut down. I have already contacted Corporate several times and I’m working with them to be reimbursed. The next step will be legal action.

We have 2 propane tanks. I was concerned that Suburban was checking each one separately and charging a separate visit fee for each tank. I spoke to Herbie and he checked into our account and verified that each visit looked at both tanks and we were only billed for 1 fee, not 2. He was very professional and friendly and willing to work with me with the billing. Very reassuring

Suburban office representatives were easy to work with also understand. Their installation crew was knowledgeable respectful of property & helpful explaining any question when they were on site. Only had one issue with propane pricing. But SB worked with us on that. Glad we have Suburban for our propane needs.

We are in the middle of Trying to organize our propane tanks which is regulated by our HOA and our community, prior to closing. We contacted And paid this company to come out and inspect and certify the propane tanks that they were safe and have them write up a report for us to present to the HOA. Yes, we paid them to do this. I met with the representative who showed up he told me the tanks for empty there over 25 years old and we need to get a plan to replace them. I asked him to please write up a report I gave him my business card my email address for him to send the report so I could submit it to the HOA for our is merity for their review. I have been waiting over 48 hours and never received any report. We finally call the company to be proactive because our closing on our property is within one and a half weeks. We are now having them come out and replace the tanks and hopefully give us the report that is needed that we asked for in the first place to present to our HOA. The point is we would have never gotten to this point if we had have been proactive because this company is absolutely worthless when it comes to presenting any reports even though we have already paid them to come out and inspect our tanks ahead a time. I wouldn't remack recommend this company but unfortunately that is who I am having to deal with at this point in time.

I didn’t order propane. They just showed up and billed me for a delivery charge. Zero propane needed. I don’t mind being charged annually for the tank but to show up bill me a delivery charge? I’m going to stop doing business with them.

I was suppose to have a delivery today. They never showed up and never called to let me know that they weren't coming. They couldn't even give me a window time frame. So I left my gate open all day. What kind of business do you run like that? I will get fuel elsewhere.

Just got a delivery and driver is saying Propane is 7.26 per gallon. State data says avg is 4.66 in Fla. What’s goin on here?

Shout to Edgar (technician), Dave (manager), and Ebony (office manager). When we contacted the company, Benda, and Dave acted quickly to get a technician out to our house, which was Edgar. He was able to quickly determine there was a leak. Prior to fixing it, he was so kind to offer and patiently wait while our daughter and grand daughter took a hot shower. We truly appreciate all of Edgar’s efforts with the leak. We have always been pleased with the service provided. Thank you again Edgar and team!

They were very prompt in delivering the gas. They charged my card $360 and the bill was $280. I GUESS THEY WILL REFUND THE DIFFERENCE

I have used several other propane dealers in the past for my home generator. Suburban was the only who could come just after a hurricane, and they come quickly whenever I call for a fill up. They are very professional.

When I needed to refuel my tank with propane, I visited many gas stations but could not do it, but with this company I was able to refuel my tank and for the price it turned out to be very cheap, I recommend this company!

Have ordered two new full racks with 12 propane tanks each, and we still have not received them. I have spoken to salesman and local office, both have agreed that this would be taken care of. Still no racks

Suburban Propane has the worst communication and customer service in my opinion. We have run out of gas multiple times at the holidays and when they finally show up the drivers share how disorganized this company is. I finally got a customer service rep on the phone today after two days of calling and being left on hold then eventually bumped out of their system. My home has a temporary tank on it and they still do not have a ticket in their system t fix my leaky tank. It has been 3 weeks. The prices are not great either.
