9Request room lower level due to health issues and thats what we got. Beautiful views of the bay, has a marina for dropping the boat and for gear. The resturant/bar food was great but pricey! Tiki bar not opened accept for free coffee. Really nice stay.rooms cleaned daily with plenty of fresh towels.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Morning coffee at the tiki hut is very good. Rooms are very outdated. I don’t mind the retro look, but the flooring/carpet needs to be replaced. The curtain does too. Both are very dirty. Beware…We booked way in advance and paid $75 more per night than we would have if we didn’t prebook. Way OVERPRICED!

The service and the room was very nice, the pool was good too. There was a lot of wild life too see:)! The room had fridges and the showers worked well. I recommended this lodge if your looking for low priced good quality stay at key west:)!
Great value! Lots of sea life around! Visit the marina nextdoor, plenty of fish sharks to watch.
Rooms were very clean and housekeeping was so nice and helpful. The rooms are very dated for the price you pay but overall the decor is fitting for the location. But I understand you are mostly paying for the location. Water in showers get very hot very quickly which is great. There is a shared microwave in the check in office. For 2 days I paid 670 and at that price I think a mini microwave should be affordable. Other then that I was very pleased with my stay and will 100% be back next year
Excellent, a gem of a place. A little dated, but it only adds to its charm. Very clean! They don't skimp on towels, soap, etc. Beautiful view of the water for every room. Nice pool. Great restaurant. Wonderful place for the whole family to relax!
From the Sunday night (4/21) we checked in early, we were impressed with pleasant and friendly staff. Got new beds on night 3. Quiet and clean. The desk clerk who checked us in was really polite. Coffee in the morning was nice. Close enough to Key West to go several times during our stay. Felt safe there and great view outside room. Will 100% stay there again. Thank you. Stayed 5 days.
Woke up to find bed bugs crawling on our pillows and bedding. Had to leave and go home in the middle of the night. 4 Hour drive back to Fort Lauderdale. They did refund my money but ruined our entire weekend. I knew it was a very simple place but having clean bedding wouldn’t be too hard to offer its guests. Finding new accommodations in the middle of the night on Fourth of July weekend would’ve been impossible. Needless to say won’t be staying at Sugarloaf lodge again.
