We used Sun & Sea for our inclusive wedding package and were so happy we did! Josie (our planner) and the team made planning our big day a breeze!

Josie was always available to answer any questions I had and she made sure to run through the timeline with me and what our requests were multiple times before the wedding weekend to make sure there were no changes or last minute requests.

We got the Beach House Bliss package and we loved staying at that gorgeous house for 4 nights!

The weather turned out to be rainy on our wedding day and the team helped to make sure our relocation to the courtyard went smoothly.

We loved how everything turned out from the stunning bouquets and centerpieces to the arbor, officiant, cake, and the DJ… everything was perfect! We haven’t gotten the photos back yet, but we’re sure they’ll be fabulous too!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about working with Sun & Sea and all of their amazing staff and coordinators! My husband and I chose the Odd Birds package and got married next to the St. Augustine fort and every part of it was beautiful and perfect. When it comes to reviewing all of the people I worked with I have to begin with the star of the entire event our coordinator Steven Romero, otherwise known as the most amazing and kindest person you will ever work with especially since he takes everything you care about and does whatever he can to make it work into your special day. If something can't work he is honest and lets you know of other options that are just as good and sometimes even better than what you originally wanted. He was extremely helpful the whole way and answered my questions the same day every single time, even when he was on vacation he sent me a message helping me out. Next was our fantastic photographer Marie, she set up a time to call before the wedding so we could get some details sorted beforehand and both go into the day knowing what needed to be done. She was great at working with what little sunlight we had to make sure all of the most important photos were taken care of first. She even came with us on our horse carriage ride to take photos with the Christmas lights and we had a great time with her as her personality was just so friendly and welcoming. Connor and Zach, we only got to meet the day of but they helped to make sure everything was set up and that we moved to our positions at just the right moments. Our DJ Shawn was yet another wonderful person we got to work with, he made the music easy and stress-free, listened to all of our requests, and changed anything we needed just by us simply asking. He brought the best energy to the whole reception and kept our guests dancing and having fun all night. He even called before the wedding so we could talk and hammer out any last-minute details and understand the changes we were having to some of the traditional events that we decided to put a spin on. If I were to do everything over again I would still pick Sun and Sea every time, not just because of the amazing packages and services that were provided but also the people that helped to make our day the most perfect day I could have asked for.

Had my wedding here, 04/2023. I would call it mediocre at best. I believe this is a co.that subcontracts out private homeowners per location chosen. The S&S coordinator (home owner) @ Vilano Beach House, was not personable, friendly, accommodating; and seemed semi-demanding. The groom's mother was asked to do all kinds of stuff, she never really got to enjoy the reception. Her final straw was having the good (which was very simple) fully set up about over an hour before actually eating. We did buffet 5 items, so didn't need to be that soon. And apparently my mother-in-law was given a hard time?
Lastly, the photographer pricing is outrageous for the amount of time, and what you get. You can either have "before ceremony (getting ready) or after. Received his zip drive showing 354 photo files, and they were all multiples of each other. Literally the same photos. And you'll know bc the the ppl in the background and yourselves are all the same. No edits, no removal of background people EVEN THOUGH YOU PAY FOR A "PERMIT" to the company, TO HAVE THAT SECTION OF THE PUBLIC BEACH PRIVATE FOR 30MINS- makes no sense. At least photo shop out some ppl for that money, and send "that" file. It's probably more like 150pics. You'll also get about 45secs of each important dance of the reception, including 1st dance

I would have loved to give this a 5 but it wasn't even close. For $14K, you can set up an Air B&B for 3nights, and do this same theme for what's advertised as "all inclusive" here.

I'm conflicted about how many stars to give, because ultimately we had a fantastic and special wedding, and Sun and Sea did a lot of things right, but on the other hand our officiant was not great, and we didn't get the ceremony we requested.

So first, for the things they did right:
-We planned this very last minute and our coordinator was so responsive and helpful- he reached out immediately, got back to us so quickly with any questions we had, and pulled this whole thing together for us on a super tight timeline
-Booking through the website was super easy- they make it very easy to customize the service you're looking for, and the interface is really nice
-We haven't gotten the photos back yet, but our photographer was awesome, and I'm confident that they're going to turn out really well

Now, for the not so good:
-Our officiant was late. All communications told us to have the groom arrive 30 mins ahead of the ceremony time to rehearse and go over the scheduled with the officiant. She even called the day of, and confirmed she would be there ahead of time to go over stuff. She arrived like 5 mins before the ceremony was supposed to start
-She read the entire thing as if she was bored in a complete monotone and it seemed like she couldn't wait to leave
-She was acting bored while we read our vows and made a comment about how she "didn't know we'd have such a novel" or something like that (each of our vows to each other were like 5 mins tops, and come on, it's our WEDDING)
-We spent about an hour the day before the wedding filling out a detailed questionnaire from Sun and Sand which included details such as how we wanted to walk down the aisle (we made a special request to meet at the end of the aisle and walk down together) and what processional/recessional music we wanted. We also requested particular music during the set up before the ceremony (which was one of the things on the questionnaire asked, not even a special request). Of course because the officiant wasn't even there on time we got none of this. I didn't even get to walk down the aisle AT ALL. There was NO MUSIC. I didn't even realize what was happening. She just said ok, we're starting and began reading. I feel like we wasted that time planning and they didn't even care about what we had requested. She just skipped the whole thing.

Overall, nothing can take away from the incredible love I have for my spouse, so it was still one of the most special and beautiful days of my life, but I did want to share the negatives of my experience so that others (if they go with sun and sand) can be aware that they may just ignore your ceremony requests, so be warned.

Overall a great experience. We really enjoyed our day. Reason for 4 stars is the communication was mediocre. They take care of all the details but I felt very left in the dark about everything and just kind of hoped it all came together on the day. If you’re a very detailed and hands on bride I don’t think it would be a good match for you. I’m overall fairly chill so I just went with it. I had to reach out to them multiple times leading up to it because it was about a month prior and I hadn’t heard anything for months.

I’m not sure if they forgot or what happened but they didn’t have my bridesmaids bouquets on the day which was disappointing for pictures.

I also wish they would’ve let me get in contact with the DJ to discuss some special details I wanted to add. They had me write it all out to give to him, but you can only describe on paper so much before it gets confusing. It didn’t quite happen the way I’d hope it was going to.

I wish I could give more than 2 stars. I really wanted too, but unfortunately my wedding would have been miserable if it wasn’t for a family friend who saved the day.

From the beginning, communication was an issue. My now husband and I were so thrilled to have found a company that handled all the stress from decor, planning, food, music, photography etc… but that was our first mistake. The planner I had assigned to me was disorganized, degrading and avoidant. Any questions I had, he made me feel inferior.

I had several questions as I had not heard anything from them for months. Then they’d reply with “the questionnaire” is what we use to gather our info. It wasn’t until each question that they’d send the questionnaire that I had no clue about. They asked what colors I wanted, yet when I asked how it would look, they stated I would get ivory and whites for my table linens and my center pieces. The coordinator was rude to my family friend, who put more work and love into my decorations and look and brought my ideas all into one. My grandfather even had to raise his voice at the coordinator because we ran through a rehearsal without the company (they don’t do one) and we had set up how we’d run through the ceremony and the coordinator tried telling my family that that’s not how it was going to go, yet the coordinator never previously informed us how he’d run it so our family friend who’s a coordinator helped us through walking my elderly grandparents to their seats and such.

After the wedding my husband called to speak to someone about our treatment, how they treated my family friend during her time there making sure things were actually right, and that our “reserved” pavilion was occupied since it’s a public beach, the city forgot our sign and our coordinator didn’t make sure the space was free when it was supposed to be.

We were met with. “We will call you back about the issues that occurred” and then received no call back!

There is a lot more, but it’s so much too include in a review on Google. I wouldn’t invest a dime into this company if I could go back in time.

A wedding is supposed to be magical, the employees here will make you feel like an inconvenience.

My wedding was perfect, everything that me and Josie planned from start to finish was executed, from going back and forth with locations, to matching my florals to exactly what I wanted. My music was perfect and beautiful, the set up was amazing. My wedding planner Josie responded to me appropriately and quickly and in the event she was unavailable due to emergency there was always someone there to answer the phone to assist me. My officiant was professional and prepared, he called me a week prior to my ceremony to introduce himself, my Coordinator directed us well and helped things run smoothly, and the photographer captured every moment and had the photos to me the day after my wedding! This was the perfect experience, the company is ran wonderfully, everyone they have on staff is professional and knowledgeable, and the price is affordable and appropriate. I can't say enough of how pleased I am with my experience and I'll see you all again in 10 years for my vowel renewal

We chose sun and sea after doing some research of wedding companies in the area. We are beyond happy we went with them! From the beginning Josie was amazing she took care of all our concerns and made the planning process extremely easy. Maddie was there on our special day to make sure everything was going well. We had regular phone calls to go over the details of our wedding with the addition to the portal they provided, which made communication with their team very easy. They really made our vision of our wedding come to life. Everything went so smooth the day of our wedding and it was better than we could hope for! Sun and Sea Beach Weddings is a must have for your wedding! Since the beginning every one of the staff members were so incredibly helpful and responsive - especially Steven our planner/officiant. Our day ran so smoothly at Anastasia State Park and it was all thanks to the professionalism from everyone at Sun and Sea. We had the best day for our wedding and highly recommend them!

We came across these people setting up for a wedding at driftwood beach on Jekyll Island in GA. I inquired about wedding prices and they shared their website with me. Absolutely beautiful and affordable.
