14 Company is not honest!
I made the purchase of 1 piece, paid and did not receive (U$ 950,00) and have no return! Total nonsense.
Even after months since the beginning of the problem they do not solve!
Much lack of respect and commitment to the customer!
They hire the company to do the delivery, the company does not perform and delivery and the problem is not Sun Power!?
Steve Chaner in sales is the best! Extremely helpful making dealing with Sunpower diesel a very pleasant experience!
Have a few years of experience and have had enough. Too many ‘misc’ expenses on invoices, damage to other boat components are ‘never their fault’, response times are slow. It is so expensive to deal with these guys that even with equipment under warranty, I can save money paying somebody ELSE who is not an authorized dealer to fix the issue directly.
Unfortunately don't help if you at anchor. (I was in front of the Marina in the ICW, not off shore). Kind of useless if you need an engine repair to move in the marina.
Great place to get all the service parts for most Diesel engines.
Awesome customer service
The entire Staff at Sun Power Diesel are all very friendly and attentive to the needs of their customers. They installed a new generator on my boat, the process went smoothly and the communication was great. Once the installation was complete Roland, the Chief Technician personally inspected the job which gave me assurance the job was done well. I am another happy customer.
Serviced my Generator, quickly and efficiently. Service tech was friendly and knowledgeable. Strongly recommend using them!
I tried some independent mechanics- but nothing compares to the pros at Sun Power. One and done. No excuses - they have the know how and the parts. I will only use them from now on.
Overpriced parts, Also sold me the wrong parts had to come back didn’t even get a apology just rude employees. And on top of everything had to pay more money for the correct parts. Save your time and shop at other marine suppliers.
WORST experience with a technician. We have been in Europe, Caribbean and USA and this was by far the worst experience. The technician was incredibly rude, would turn his face away as the captain asked about the work, wouldn't take his shoes off (and charged us for shoe protectors which we didn't see him use) and even yelled as more questions were asked simply to understand what works he was doing. Arrived with zero motivation to do the work in the first place. As we spoke with the owner he simply said that he was a good technician. After we sent him away they charged us an outrageous amount for what was done. STAY AWAY from these people.
I used them for the first time to service my Generator and was very impressed with their service and would used them again.

Terrible follow through and customer service from their service department. The first service technician did not fix the problem, he changed the oil and impeller but after leaving the boat the generator would not run. They sent a second technician, Richard, a week later that knew the exact problem and fixed it. Of course, Sunpower charged me for the second visit, labor and trip time. Richard was extremely professional and experienced. I would hire him. However, I will find a different Kohler dealer to service my genset.
Have a problem with my Volvo penta D12 engine’s, they have sent one of theirs “certified “ technician that probably had never saw a D12 in his lifetime, couldn’t diagnose the problem, Don’t waist your time and money, they are not professional, unless you need an oil change.
I wouldn’t do that either with them,
I hope Volvo will do something about them.
