Sun Rice Chinese Restaurant, Fort Lauderdale FL

Was the best Chinese food we have ever had in Ft Lauderdale. Amazing Won Ton Soup, beef and broccoli, chicken chow mein and roast pork egg foo young. A must visit place!

I order from here often but the last 2 times there were serious hair issues. I found a clump of long, probably woman's, hair in my food. I noticed when I bit and then pulled the fork away from my face, the fork and my mouth were still connected by a long strand of hair that was clumped together. No women in my house so it clearly was in the food when it got here.

A week later. I know this is my fault but I ordered again a week later. Bad choice I know but I thought maybe they just had a bad day. I searched the food first this time and there was a single strand of hair in this batch. Long very long hair. I'm done. But how much hair does this place have? ! If I'm experiencing it 100% of the two orders, a week apart, someone else has to be experiencing this too? ! Really not sure how the health dept.hasn't shut them down. Unfortunate bc the food does taste good.it just keeps coming with hair.

This place has the highest quality Chinese food in our area. Some dishes may require you ask for white meat chicken, but the food, as well as their soup is delicious!

I took a bite of beef and broccoli, as I ate I felt the food had gone halfway down my throat but was still strung up to my mouth. I started choking I had to reach my hand in my mouth and pull out this, strand of what I thought was food. When I began pulling this large clump from my mouth and throat I saw it was a large long Clump of Hair.

The hair anchored on my teeth then dangled down my throat. It was a large clump of hair, a knot, with long strands that came from the beef and broccoli dish. It was almost as if someone cleaned out a woman's hair brush and threw the clump in the food

Sun Rice has great food!

The restaurant is very clean, during covid they have been really vigilant. Everyone in and out where masks consistently and they provide hand sanitizer if you order or pickup there.

The food is yummy and fresh (I’ve eaten from here 3 times now)

My favorite dish is the boneless ribs, and they have good wonton soup also.

The thing I really like about the place is they called me each time after I got my food to check if everything was up to par! I really appreciate that touch!

All in all, probably the best Chinese restaurant in Pompano.

I hosted a socially distanced work lunch for 4, from Sun Rice. My legal assistant found strands of long hair in her food. The food was good until the hair was found.

There were large wood chips in my food. As if a blue large wooden spoon got cooked / boiled/ broken then cooked into my food. After taking a bite and literally spitting out blue paint & wood slivers / spiinters I saw more of these blue wood chunks in my dish.

Beautiful clean interior. Good food great portions. Nice helpful staff. One of the chefs is my BF and roommate and he's been cooking Chinese just about his entire 66 years life. Even owned 2 of his own Chinese Restaurants in New Orleans. He also knows Japanese Hibachi and Thai food! Hong Kong bred he's fluent in Chinese Cantonese and American English. Lived China, London England, US Alaska, Washington, Arizona, Louisiana and Florida. My mother loves his Eggfuyung if you see him at say Hey "Sam" his nickname (real name Kam but ssshhh) you will thoroughly confuse him and he'll say hi back wondering huh? So do i know them? If He's manning the kitchen your food should be amazing. Sun Rice expect ALL chefs is to be amazing! Also from Hong Kong the family Chan will sure to amaze! Sam was lucky to find amazing people with owner also Chinese Christian Pastor/Owner of a beautifu local Chinese Church! ;

I eat in this lovely spot from time to time! This is the best place to have a bite. I go there many times. The cooking is excellent, the staff members are helpful and the prices are decent. I like eating in this restaurant to have a good lunch.

This is no doubt one of the coolest restaurants in the area. Always when I go there I am very satisfied. They keep their high level service and the highest level of food they serve. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.

In my 32 years on this planet ordering Chinese food has never been so pleasant. Excellent customer service and good food. Please give the girl who answers the phone a raise she deserves it. I'd actually order again even if the food wasn't that great because they listen, repeat your order and don't mess it up. Bless you all.

They have the most delicious hot and sour soup. Best in the area. I've had a few menu items, and they do not disappoint. I just wish they were closer to my home.

Amazing experience I came in after a hard day and just blessed food and a service that was a cut above the rest. Thanks for that, were new residents I’m glad I found my new favorite spot for awesome food. The prices are what to expect with the economy. Sincerity. Delicious. Trustworthy. Love you guys!
