Sunrise Facial and Oral Surgery, Melbourne FL

I have been a patient of Dr Kim since 2019 when he extracted a full mouth of teeth and put in 6 implants preparing me for full snap in dentures. He and his staff showed much compassion and understanding as this was difficult for a young female to lose her teeth from underlying auto immune diseases. The entire process and surgeries I was fully educated on and knew what to expect. I was always kept comfortable during the procedures and his Assistant followed up with me for a few days after. Again, showing so much kindness and compassion.
Recently, 5 years later I had to return for additional implant issues. Dr Kim and his manager/assistant were so responsive and were able to fix the issue immediately so that I would not have to function without my dentures.
Over the years, I have referred many people to Dr Kim as he and his staff truly care about the patients and there well being both physically and mentally. I will continue to refer to them so others can get the same EXCELLENT treatment that I have recieved. Thank you Dr Kim and your staff for always taking care of me and giving me the BEST MEDICAL CARE!

I hate having to write a negative review because that's not normally the route I'd like to take but I'm extremely disappointed and put in an extremely tough situation due to a mistake by this practice. Mind you I did call them first to rectify the mistake and they offered no resolutions. I am writing this not only to warn others but also to maybe reach the practice owner/manager in a resolution to this matter as well. I purchased private dental insurance earlier last year to help with cost of this surgery I knew I needed (wisdom teeth extraction all 4 including a baby tooth in the front) and initially was very aware of certain waiting periods with this insurance as well. I knew I was able to get the consultation almost immediately so I made sure to get that done. At the time of the consult they gave me a price point before insurance and let me know they would call my insurance and get a accurate pricing with them. I did let them know of my concern for my waiting periods and I was perfectly okay with waiting if need be. I then received a call back a few weeks later letting me know my waiting period would be up for the surgery 6 months after I got the insurance (this past December). So of course I scheduled it when they said the waiting period was up. Mind you my initial consult was in August, I scheduled it 4 months later to avoid any further issues with future billing. Time of surgery came I paid the price they confirmed with me on the phone and again in person and everything was fine. Almost a month later I received a bill in the mail of an additional $526.83 after already paying over $1,200 at the time of appointment. I was shocked and frustrated as you can imagine, I called the office spoke to the billing person on the phone and the only insight I got was, "It seems there was an issue with the waiting period and it was not 6 months and it was actually 12 months" and "my insurance was confusing to read and that is why I was priced the way I was" I asked if there was anything they can do to fix this seeing is how it was there mistake and I can't afford another $500 especially after doing everything I could to avoid this issue and let her know I would've waited longer like I already did. She stated " No, you signed a contract with your insurance so you're responsible". So I'm now stuck with a very large bill due to your mistake. Extremely poor practice. I also contacted my insurance and they recommended I file a grievance with my insurance explaining the issue and was also shocked at what happened and let me know they never even called my insurance to confirm the claim. Please be careful going to this practice, they do not own there mistakes and put it on there patients to cover cost.

Dr. Banachowski is excellent! I had high expectations when I read that he graduated from one of the best dental schools in the country, University of NC Chapel Hill, and he lived up to this. I had him pull a tooth and he was great. He's skilled and thoughtful. He had a device that vibrates that distracts from getting a novocaine shot. Very clever. As for Sunrise Oral Surgery in general, they are all right except I'd recommend getting an appointment either first thing in the morning or right after their lunch break if possible. The first time I went to Sunrise was to see another oral surgeon for a late afternoon appointment, and I had to wait an hour and 15 minutes to be seen. Then I switched to Dr. Banachowski and my appointment was right after lunch, and I don't remember having to wait.

10 starts from me, my son was seen by dr. Travis Austin, wow amazing dr (nice and professional) and his team great too. I asked my son how was everything and he said the only I remembered the dr was great

The staff and Dr K were so sweet and caring. I had laser done and I am very happy with my results and my overall time with them!

My son went for three wisdom teeth removal. Everything went well. It healed fast without any problems.

I underwent several extensive oral surgeries by Dr. Kim. He & every member of his staff treated me with kindness & compassion. My surgeries were difficult but I felt secure with the absolute professionalism of the entire office. Dr. Kim has been my hero since 2005 when he replaced my jaw joints allowing me to open my mouth after months of not being able to eat or barely speak without agonizing pain. I am eternally grateful to have found Dr. Kim & his amazing staff.

Dr Kim is an excellent Dr. His staff is amazing. Thank you to all of them who made my surgery experience a positive one. Its been 8 hours since the surgery and I feel great. I know the pain killers will wear off eventually, but thanks to the associates at sunrise, I know I will get through it. You are alll amazing.

Was recommended by a friend to come here and I don't regret it. The people and doctors are so nice and they're very understanding about anxiety. They give good instructions for aftercare and it's the day after all my wisdom teeth have been removed and I'm having minimal pain.

Great experience with staff and Dr Banachowski. They were efficient, thorough, with great bedside manners. The procedure went well— plus minimum pain afterwards! I highly recommend!

My experience with the doctor and staff was a pleasant one.the procedure was quick and painless.everyone was pleasant and cordial. I would recommend this office to my family and friends

My only issue here was getting a call back and an appointment scheduled. Aside from that, the staff and Doctor Banachowski were amazing. The doctor was super kind, and explained everything to me at my preliminary appointment and the nurses and assistants were all sweet and took amazing care of me. Still healing up from my surgery, but I’m glad I came here for it! If you guys could get some additional front staff, you were be an easy A+ place. Thank you again!

Staff was excellent! Kind and Considerate! Three teeth extracted in preparation for implants…. ABSOLUTELY NO PAIN! Followed prescribed post operative surgery care. There was a small amount of bruising on each side if my mouth. 6 days later it’s gone…

I had full implants done, top and bottom by Dr. Kim…. And Dr Chenet making and putting in my new teeth…. Dr. Kim & his entire staff treated me like a king…. The work they did was top quality…. And they treated me. As if I was an important person…. I would recommend Dr. Kenn and sunrise to anyone.
