You have to really spend a lot of time here to find the treasure. But there is always great options and I found a huge pillow for the floor for $4

I'm only changing my review based off of a recent phone conversation with the manager. I was in the middle of trying to find a place to drop off my futon due to a last second unplanned move. Unfortunately everyplace I tried fell through because it was the first week of the new year. When I was transferred to the manager to ask if they can take it, she let me know that she is unable to accept it, however when I tried to explain my situation, she then yelled, "Try Goodwill! " And then hung up on me. I will still shop there, because I enjoy the selection they offer, but try to listen to the customer next time before hanging up.

The store was pretty messy and the selection isn't great. But the employees were friendly and prices were great.

I regularly shop this thrift store as they have some nice things donated to them by people in the community. I find most of the staff to be friendly and professional, however I keep seeing a steady increase in price points for these donated, mostly used goods, which is disheartening. I find a lot of items overpriced for a thrift store.

I have always enjoyed shopping at this store but I had such a negative experience this past weekend that I will never return. On Saturday I found a shirt I wanted to buy for Christmas, so I went to the register with my items to pay. To my surprise, this shirt was missing a price tag. I understand the store has a policy that they can’t sell an item with a missing price until the next day, so I asked if they could hold it until I came back tomorrow. The cashier said no. I asked if there was any way they could have someone price it on the spot, since it wasn’t possible to hold it. The cashier said no and got her manager, a man who was really rude and short with me. I was simply asking if there was anything that could be done to accommodate me, the customer, who was attempting to buy an item. Finally the manager agreed to hold the shirt for me, but for some reason it wouldn’t be priced until Tuesday and I’d have to pick it up before noon. I meant to ask my husband what day of the month Tuesday was, as in the numeric date. I accidentally said “What day of the week is Tuesday? ” The manager was quick to nastily quip, “It’s Tuesdayyyyy” Like I was a moron.

I understand some bad apples must have tampered with the price tags and that is why this policy is in place, but customer service should still be given to the extent that retail employees are polite and helpful to the customer. I was perfectly polite and understanding throughout the process, and made every effort to work with their policies. But I was not treated politely and the employees clearly did not want to help me. That is literally the bare minimum I expected and they failed to deliver. Instead they were nasty, rude, and resentful.

They should have people on staff who can price items every day they are open. Tags fall off and it doesn’t mean someone is trying to get one over on the store. Guess how much the shirt wound up costing? $3.45! I would have happily paid more if they had offered me to buy it on Saturday, as it would have been more convenient for me, but instead I had to come back and they got their $3.45. But with their attitudes, and the way the situation was handled, they won’t see another dollar of my money since apparently it’s such a hassle and concern for them.

Good stuff, low affordable prices. My grandma found a Gucci handbag that's worth $1,900. The store priced it to only $5. Now all my grandma's friends are treating her like a rich luxurious woman.

This is hands down the best thrift store in Tampa. I almost didn’t want to review it and divulge the secret awesomeness that is Sunshine. They’re always getting in fantastic new stock (they’re in South Tampa, so, duh) and the employees are the best. They’re helpful and kind and friendly. My one criticism is how they staple the price tags. It pains my soul to see an adorable Mini Boden dress with staple holes in the back. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever. A must-stop thrift store if you’re in Tampa!

This place has a very large selection and is a very large location! I found lots of neat things plus they have lots of places to pay for things, and a large set of rooms for trying clothes on. They have lots of other items that and I plan to go back and look for some other things since I did not have time to see everything! This is a great place for prices to, they also have good deals and other markdowns just look for their signs that are posted that say what is on sale today.

Sunshine Thrift'sSouth Tampa location has a reliably great selection of clothing, particularly women's clothes. Two tag colors are 50% off every day and Sundays, if you a senior, two additional tag colors are added for a total of four colors at 50% off. The furniture selection is usually small, but well priced. Jewelry is very affordable. If you sign up for text alerts, you will get notified of the monthly 50% off the entire store date, almost always on a Thursday. Books, DVDs, kitchenware, trinkets. Electronics, shoes. All prices are pretty darned fair even it the tag color isn't discounted that day.

Love going there. I think its absolutely the best thrift store in Tampa by far. There is a New york Puerto Rican lady there that is just lovely and extremely friendly. But there is a lady there that wears glasses that is crabby and not nice. I thought it was that she was having a bad day one day. Unfortunately i have encountered her on multiple occasions with the same attitude. Both are Cashiers.

Items, especially clothing, is a little overpriced. They really need a redo on the way the tag their items and their hangers, particularly for the jeans and pants. With the pricing/tagging of items they need to see to it that they have a better system. I watched the manager time and time again rudely and abruptly tell customers the item can't be sold without a price tag. Trust me. I think EVERYBODY gets it.so instead if being so nasty about it get a price on it asap. The customer is not the bad guy here. Manager needs LOTS of work on his customer relation skills. He tried to tell me one day that I couldn't use the restroom because I wasn't buying anything. It just so happened I was taking care of the landscape maintenance outside that day.

Wow! This store is great. Large and high quality inventory with the best prices I have seen for a thrift store. Name brand clothing, lots brand new. Be ready to spend over an hour if you like bargains and two if you are thorough. I highly recommend.

It's either a hit or miss, first time visiting today found some good deals on some great Brands then I came across some items that were way too high priced

Look no further for a quality thrift store! The store is clean, very well organized and the prices are AMAZING! There is even a dollar rack with some nice things! There are brand names and the quality of the clothing is awesome! I am an avid thrifter and I have to say this is one of the best stores I have been too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

To add to my review: my teenage daughter used the bathroom and commented on how clean it was for a thrift store.coming from a picky easily grossed out teenager!

Used to be very good with reasonable prices, now it's very overpriced, shirts that sell for $10 new they want $11, and the manager is not customer friendly, very pissy, and rude

This is my favorite thrift store in Tampa. I would give it five stars for everything were it not for the mean blonde lady who's always at the register. She's so rude I will literally ask people to skip me in line so I don't have to talk to her. Never met someone who seems to hate life as much as her. ANyway:)
