Surf Station, St. Augustine FL

There was a challenging issue with a return, and everyone from SurfStation stepped up to make it right. From their frontline employees, to management, even the owner went out of their way to resolve the issue. They all deserve glassy, peeling overhead surf for the way they dealt with me as a customer.

They had a good deal on a wetsuit which brought me in. I ordered it online and picked it up in store. The staff wasn’t helpful, pretty much ignored us when we arrived.

We had a great session with Evan! Very helpful tips and extremely patient! He brought our boards to us on the beach and gave us the confidence to hop right in and go for it!

I made an online purchase (board, fins, leash) and unfortunately the wrong fins were delivered. Mistakes happen.but Surf Station really came through. The fins I wanted were out of stock, so they refunded me that amount and gifted me the ones they had sent by accident. Super impressed by this customer service. Thank you!

My niece and I had a blast with “Ty” our great surf instructor. He is kind, patient and always encouraging! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Surf Station and Ty.

Emily instructed me through a stand up paddle board lesson on Saturday and she was amazing! It was my first time on a board and Emily was very knowledgeable and patient. I felt really comfortable with her level of expertise on the board and the ocean in general. I would highly recommend Emily to anyone who is interested in SUP!

The Best Surf Shop in the World! Everyone that works here are amazing and down to earth people! They have great deals on basically anything you need for a fun day at the beach. ️

Second year of surf camp for my grandson. Last year was great. This year was unorganized and more like a day camp at the beach instead of a surf camp. My grandson didn’t want to come back after the first day. Very little surf instruction or time on the board. I am watching now as they spend the last hour in the water playing. So disappointed and frustrated that I wasted $295. Will not be back and definitely will not recommend to my friends or family.

My overall experience with Surf Station was great! It was easy to sign up for surf lessons on the website. Ty did an outstanding job teaching my son and I how surf. Ty was patient, friendly, and engaged. After our lesson Ty continued to give advice regarding time of day and good spots to surf. The staff was friendly and renting boards was quick and easy.

Overall great shop. Legacy crew and been around for a long time. St. Augustine staple. The staff can answer questions and has good knowledge of the stuff overall. Especially good feedback on the surfboards and options. Some items are a little more expensive than you can get online.but the selection is good and the shop shirts are great. Kid did surf school and did well. You have options in St. Augustine and most are good. This one is up there with the best of them.

Ty was absolutely awesome in all ways. He is a fantastic surf instructor and he connected and fully engaged with our son during his lesson. We are so grateful that we had the privilege of having him for our sons surf lesson and that we had the opportunity to meet him. Thank you so much!

Excellent place. My wife asked me if I found anything and I'm like "Yeah! Too much. " Lots of cool threads if that's what you're looking for. Looked like great stuff for the surfer dudes and dudettes too.

Live in VA, ordered a board from Surf Station. Last board from another shop I had shipped came with some small dings, box had hit a few hard corners it looked like. Wanted to make sure it didn’t happen again so I called up the shop after placing the order. Spoke with Elon I believe. He said he’d put a note on the order to pack with care. It arrived in 3 days from fedex (paid a lil extra for shipping but I’m grateful for the option). The package came, no damage to the box. Cut it open and it was stuffed so much the board and packaging was hard to pull out. Whoever packed this board did an amazing job! Standard plastic wrap and thin styrofoam on nose and tail but then there was extra foam on top of each end, bubble wrap around the entire thing, more plastic wrap, and then an extra cardboard box to keep it all in, all within the shipping box. Board arrived pristine and I can’t wait to take it out. Thanks again for making shipping a board so hassle and worry free!

We hired Ty (at surf shop) to do 3 days worth of surf lessons with my husband and two kids who had never surfed before. He was absolutely Amazing! He was patient, knowledgeable, and professional. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher. By the end of the week everyone was getting up on the board and riding the waves. Everyone has the bug now and wants to be back at the beach. So grateful for his many gifts. Would definitely recommend!

I found Surf Station online when I was visiting family in St. Augustine and decided to take a surf lesson. The online booking process was really simple and the instructor, Blane, reached out to me directly to coordinate days before the lesson and everything went very smoothly. Blane is a positive and upbeat instructor who patiently answers all of your questions to help you meet your goals with surfing. Would definitely come back for another lesson with Surf Station and recommend to others.

We had scheduled a surf lesson online for my daughter and I on 5/30 Tuesday and didn’t get a response till we showed up.the Sales Associate was very apologetic and contacted management and was able to re-schedule the following day 6/1 Wednesday with Tyler Sheridan. Ty was fantastic! Super cool super chill very knowledgeable and attentive to my daughter who is special needs.she’s partially deaf and Ty even knows sign language and was very aware of speaking face to face because she reads lips.he made her feel comfortable with instructions and corrections and was very encouraging. HIGHLY recommend Ty for a lesson and we will definitely be back to request him.outstanding young man! Thanks Ty for a great experience! ‍️

Great lesson with Tyler. Very knowledgeable and great teacher. Took time to explain important info and wave formation and currents too. Highly recommend, will be back.

Blane was a great surf instructor for my nephew helped him stand multiple times! My nephew said it was one of the most fun things he’s ever done!
