I can not say enough positive things about Dr. Moses Shieh and his entire team! His bed side manner is impeccable. He is kind, understanding and extremely knowledgeable. His surgerical skill is unrivaled and thorough. My life will forever be changed for the better, because of him and his team. Thank you!
Dr. Shieh fixed my Heidel hernia so far it’s going great. The office staff is very friendly and easy to work with.
Surgery was for hiatal hernia and revision from old surgery. It was scheduled as laparoscopic. Due to excessive bleeding on my part surgeon had to do many transfusions. Dr Shaih and surgical team saved my life. It's taking longer to recover but it's getting better.
I just had hiatal hernia repair by Dr. Moses Shieh at Gulf Coast Hospital. Dr. Shieh did an excellent job and exceeded my expectations. The check in, pre-op, surgery, post-op, overnight stay and patient release went without a hitch! I highly recommend Dr. Moses Shieh and Gulf Coast Hospital for your hiatal hernia repair. It was very easy and nothing to fret about. The surgery and patient rooms are amazing! Recovery was a cinch.
Dr. Ramlogan performed my sleeve surgery just before he left. I'm so grateful he did. I miss him
Dr. Miller and his entire staff are extremely caring, professional and know what they are doing.
Dr Damit is my hero. I had a difficult revision surgery. I don't handle pain medicine as well. I had the surgery yesterday and it was hugely successful. Thank you Dr. Damit and team. You're the best.
Update: 2 weeks later and I have recovered nearly 100%. I am grateful to have found Dr Damit and Surgical Healing Arts. They gave me my life back. Thank you!
Clean place and friendly staff. I went for my consultation and left having no more info than I found through researching myself and talking with MANY others that's had the surgery. I have severe GERD/Reflux and originally wanted the sleeve, but after talking to many people that's had the sleeve and hearing how it made their issue worse and had to get a revision to a bypass, I changed my mind to bypass. Plus I have other health issues. The Dr I saw was very set on the sleeve, even after I told him about my GERD and all the experiences I heard from MANY others, and he tells me not to listen to things I read or hear on the internet. Didn't really go over anything or what all would be required, handed me a few papers stapled together and was pretty much done. We spent maybe 5 minutes (10 max) in the room talking. I wanted surgery here, but they didn't take my 2nd insurance which I was ok with, but being I'd be paying some out of pocket, not a single person could give me any type of price range I'd be looking at. It was all to be paid prior to surgery being scheduled but the girls up front had no clue on my part. So I've decided to go elsewhere, found the time and the whole appointment a waste of time and $$. So be prepared to have a short consultation and not to receive very much information, just unprofessional to me. I'm not going to start doing everything required and have no idea what I'm to pay out of pocket, only thing I actually got a price for was their program fee. So I recommend researching, alot.
This is the place to go if you want your body thrown into a starvation mode and when you call telling them how sick you are all you get are the patent answers. I cancelled the sleeve. If they are putting me into starvation before surgery what are they going to do afterwards. Please make this your very last alternative I really wanted this surgery but not when I can’t walk because I’m so weak from starvation. You have been warned
Don’t waste your time. My first appointment was cancelled because the doctor’s flight was cancelled and he wouldn’t be back in SWFL in time. The second appointment was cancelled because they had an emergency operation that required all of the physicians to attend. I confirmed my third appointment for tomorrow and I just got a call wanting to reschedule that appointment. Ridiculous! I guess we’re all capable of taking time off work on a whim and we’re all independently wealthy. I’ll find someone else that values patient care and time.
