Sylvan Learning of Lake Mary

This place deserves a 100 stars. In the summer of 2022 I found out my daughter was going to be retained in the 3rd grade and I was immediately trying to find her some help over the summer. I had heard about silver learning center from family members so I went to the Sylvan learning center in Melbourne Florida explaining the situation between my daughter and how I wanted her to get help so she could essentially be promoted to the 4th grade early into the school year. The Director at Melbourne Sylvan Center basically told me that I had unrealistic goals for my child so of course I left there devastated not knowing where to begin. After speaking with my mom I decided to try Lake Mary Sylvan even though they produce the same information I wanted to see if I would get a different outlook. My initial meeting was set up with William and he provided me information from what the computer gave which was like over a 180 hours and at that point my daughter would be caught up to grade level at least. Not once did he say I understand you want your daughter to be promoted to the 4th grade but we just can't do that he told me that there was times where some students will catch on quicker and be able to use more of their skills within the time frame and there's other times where it may take students a little bit longer. Needless to say after 2 months of 6 hours per week my daughter was promoted to the 4th grade. I am forever grateful and will share my experience with anyone needing assistance and may not know where to start. Trust the process and Teachers.

Sylvan has been great for my son so far. He fell behind during the pandemic due to virtual learning not working for him. They walked us through how everything works and were very polite and took their time to make sure the customized the learning plan specifically for my son. He has loved going, which really surprised me, so that fact alone has impressed me. I highly recommend them!

Sylvan of Lake Mary has a very professional atmosphere. Their number one priority is helping the kids improve in their academics.

The kids enjoy a more personal interaction with the teachers, and the teachers are passionate, encouraging, and friendly.

Mr William is always ready to help and has a great communication with families.

I love this place! The tutors are always helping and take parents concerns and apply them to understand what they are working on for school. William is very attentive to his staff, parents and most importantly our children. He answered all of our questions and got us signed up immediately! I recently enrolled my daughter about a week ago and prepaid over $5000. When i spoke to the Executive director William Ramos de Silva he gave me false information. This person offered me that a tutor would be 1: 1 with my daughter and that was not true. My daughter is been left alone on the table while the teacher spends time with other kids. When i communicated this to him he says i will have to pay him more if i wanted my daughter to have personalized classes. I asked for refund and was denied and even threatened to be sued by his attorneys. This person gives misleading information and its very unprofessional. Im extremely disappointed.

I used this place a few years ago and it was excellent. 3 of my children attended. Based on my prior experience I decided to hire once again the service for my daughter who is 6 now. I prepaid $5400 for 120 hoursexpecting the same service. This time is a complete scam. My daughter needs to wait while the teacher is with other kids. My daughter is not learning anything. I called the Executive William Ramos da Silva to try to resolve the problem his only solution was to increase the hourly rate. I requested from him to refund me my money for the hrs not use. Not only did he declined but said if I tried anything he's going to sue me. He is very unprofessional and has lack of communication. Don't know what kind of professional solves a situation by threatening a customer. Very dissatisfied.

Horrible customer service! We had some concerns after the first week of classes, so we called to provide feedback and ask to see if things could be fixed. Instead we were threatened by the owner/ manager to be sued by his attorneys.

Do not trust them with your kids learning! They only care about money!
