9Had a good hunt was able to bag 6 ducks between my buddy and I. Saw way more just outside of our reach though and look forward to getting in again. The check in staff was friendly and efficient, they processed all the check in's quickly and with little issue. The land is well maintained with lots of other birds to see and plenty of wildlife to keep an eye on (gators).
It was a nice place to ride, except when my son and I made it to the look out we couldn't go up and check it out because it was infested with wasps.
Very nice place to fish, bird watch or just enjoy the outdoors. Now the draw back, the 8 mile dirt road is terrible and I'm surprised how many of these beautiful locations have such bad dirt roads. Be prepared for car or boat repairs if you go down the road.
Really enjoy this place when we come to the area. Great fishing and very good wildlife viewing.
Beautiful and has an untouched feel to it. If u want peace and quiet mixed with nature, this is the place.
Wonderful views, beautiful birds and an occasional gator. Take your camera, walking shoes, a hat and water.

This is a wonderful area to see lots of bird species. Easy walking and then several areas to drive through once you've done walking. Apparently, you can also rent Airboat rides, which should be cool.
Beautiful marsh and now allows duck hunting during the season. Through the FWC site you can enter the lottery for a duck hunting permit. They only give away 16 per day for the days they allow folks to go out there. Don't bother going if you don't have a permit as it's required to hunt there. Went out there last weekend on a permit hunt that a friend won in the lottery and it was great. You will get checked everytime come back in the boat ramp by fishing & game so make sure you follow the rules.
