Tacos and Tequila, Winter Garden FL

I have been to this location several times because I have become a recent fan of horchata agua frescas. They make it there and there aren’t many places near where I live that do. I went each time asking for horchata and the first time and second time I went I asked for and got horchata. However I noticed that they put a lot of ice in the cup. So on the 2nd visit I asked for no ice and they said they couldn’t and wouldn’t do it even if I was willing to pay for it. So I asked for less ice in my cup and they accommodated that time. Tonight was my 3rd time going and asking for less ice and I ordered two large cups. They poured me so much ice in both my cups even though I asked for less ice. Additionally, they didn’t fill the cup up all the way with the horchata, I’d say it was about 3/4 or less of the cup full. So not only was my cup not full of horchata, they put so much ice in it that once I got home and removed the ice from the cups there was about half of a large cup of the actual horchata drink to fill it up. To put it bluntly, I had two large cups of horchata that were filled halfway with the beverage and the other half of the cup was ice. The lack of following through with simple requests is disappointing and astonishing. Won’t be back here again for any beverage, and if they can’t get my drink order right what hope is there for food I might potentially order being correct as well…

Thhhhe best taco in Orlando and everyone feels like family. I come here once a month, it's truly sad how much they make off me Lol My happy place!

Food and service is always great so, when I needed a food truck for a large event (Friday-Sunday) Luis said he could help on Friday. On Thursday late afternoon my food truck for Saturday backed out. In a panic because this event hosted over 800 athletes I went to the restaurant in hopes he could help me and he did! They did an amazing job and EVERYONE at the tournament raved how great the food was. Luis (manager) and Bertha are amazing people so, support this local gem!

Oh it was a super pleasant experience.we were in the patio, the decoration was very nice. Mary attended to us and she was excellent very attentive and pleasant. He suggested delicious appetizers, we had a spectacular time

I really wanted to like this place. It's got a decent lunch menu with reasonable prices. It's a convenient location for me. But the use of mozzarella on a Mexican dish was distracting and off putting. I got a classic burrito and tasted more like a Italian dish. There weren't really any Mexican seasonings, it was pretty blands except for the mozzarella, which doesn't taste like a Mexican cheese.

Waited for over 20 minutes waiting for a server on the patio. Three tables after us got served. Waitress said she wasn’t our server. Never did get service. Finally walked out. Don’t waste your time going to this place!

Very good restaurant, went with 8 people and everyone liked their food, portions were good size.

Would have like to see some more traditional meals added to the menu beyond what was on said menu. I do highly recommend this restaurant as it has the best Mexican food I have found in orange county

Love love love their food! Everything is always so fresh and delicious. I order out from here often.

First time and won't be the last. Had the Choripollo and she had the Birria Quesadilla, phenomenal. Especially when you add two Texas Margaritas. Will definitely be back.

Whenever I’m craving tacos, I head straight to Tacos and Tequila. My favorite dish there is the ‘Tacos De Camarones’
P. S. To the chef, please consider adding mango back to the tacos

Nachos are average, similar to the ones that "on the border" has. Beans are good, rice is not great, & the beef is disgusting. There's something wrong with the beef where it tastes very sweet & for some reason they use mozzarella cheese on their dishes.

Food is overwhelmingly hot, never had a Pozole so spicy. They also call their mole sauce "red sauce" it is not the same thing. Otherwise, pretty good food and great atmosphere. Been a few times now and will continue to go back.

Unfreaken Believable! Hands down best mahi-mahi fish tacos I have ever had & I've eaten alot of fish tacos. My sangria margarita was also amazing!

I was pleasantly surprised. I was aware that it had opened a couple of months ago. I thought it was an ice cream parlor that served some food. It turns out that it is the other way around.
I saw on Facebook that their chile rellenos were supposed to be good. So I ordered it (one chicken, one ground beef) to go. It came with rice and beans, chips, salsa, and salad. I ate the ground beef one for lunch. The chips were thin, the salsa was medium spicy, salad had sour cream and guacamole. The chile relleno was really good, just like I saw on Facebook. (The only thing that would have made it better would be if it had been made with spicy New Mexican chiles.) I will most definitely be returning, with friends.
The ice cream side has agua frescas and smoothies. That will be another trip back.

The restaurant is no longer Fruta Mix.
It's now Tacos & Tequila.
My wife and I had a dine in lunch. Chips and salsa are still good. I had a chicken Chile relleno with rice y beans. It seems like it came with the same type of salad as last time. The Chile relleno was good sized and very tasty. The rice and beans were ok.
My wife had fajitas. She said that the meat was excellent. However, she thought that the refried beans tasted like they came from a can, and she didn't like the rice. I should point out that she's an excellent cook and her taste is far more discriminating than mine.
