Tallahassee East Campground reviews
19We stayed in cottage #13 by the lake for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay. The mattresses were clean, the small coffee pot worked well, and it was quiet. It was convenient to have a working shower and toilet off of the bedroom. The cottage fit comfortably my husband and I and our daughter. The porch with the swing overlooking the lake was charming. The price was reasonable and we even took advantage of the military discount. We will be returning to the cottage the next time we’re in Tallahassee.
Nice office people but very run down. NO wifi unless you go to office. High priced for amenities and condition.
A nice place to stop while passing through. We were lucky enough to stumble across this place when evacuating from Ian. We rented a cottage, it was very clean, large front deck with covered porch swing over looking a large pond and NO BUGS! The cottages have the best view! Front desk staff very friendly - not at all a 5 resort but definitely get what you pay for and more. If you like quiet, rustic, low cost, laid back atmosphere - this place is worth checking out.
It was ok for one night, but a very rough looking unkempt park, weeds growing around hookups and definitely
not worth the 50$ I paid with GS discount
The people at registration were very nice.this was a nice KOA park. Now it's seems like it has been let go, seems run down.
It's a place we to go to every year! We always have a blast The staff is always so nice! The bathroom an showers was very clean! We stay in cabins up front and we love them!
Somewhere between nice and rough. Stayed there for son's graduation; motels/hotels were upwards of $300 a night or sold out. An RV site is under $50! Bathrooms were clean and functional but showers were very small. Powder fine dirt roads left billows of dust every time a vehicle went by. Generally quiet outside of background noise from I10 and an occasional dog barking. No loud radios or parties. Odd mix of full and partial hookups. Quite a few rundown buildings, cabins, and campers. Some activities in the club house along with walking and fishing. Nice little store on site along with ice. Multiple businesses on site; RV park, uhaul rental, and self storage rental so you got some extra traffic in and out. Not secured at night.
Overall it suited our needs at a great price!
Playground, full coin laundry facility, stocked fishing lake, sparkly pool, clean cute shower sites, little store on site with snacks and drinks. Adorable wood cabins, open RV sites even if they are slightly narrow, friendly receptionist, all over good down home family feel️

Dont go here for a uhaul! They could care less! Tried to give them $1200 for a uhaul and was asked to come back after i made the reservation online!
Great little Campground.we stayed here as an overnight stop. It's right off the highway and easy to get to. Office staff was very helpful and nice. The campground was very clean and well cared for. Wifi was nonexistent but we managed with over the air TV. I'll definitely come back here as an overnight stay.
This place is dirty, run down and tired. The grass is not being mowed. Some Poison ivy is growing near water and electric. Looks like a lot of permanent residence at this campsite. What a disappointment. We stayed last year it was much nice. Something has changed.
I have never written a review of a park, but decided this park was worthy of one. This a very old, tired and rundown park in need of a lot of repairs and maintenance! Once a KOA park. Only a good spot to stay for one night while traveling through. No picnic table at the site. About 1/3 of the washers and dryers worked in the laundry room. The washer I used broke before the spin cycle. I told the woman at the front desk and she gave me a sticky note to put on the machine that said “out of order. ” No apology or offer to refund my money.
No fault of the park, but it’s very close to I-10. You can see it and hear the noise.
Staff was friendly but campsites are to close for me. Showers were clean pond is not as big as it looks in pictures.
Entry road is blacktop and has lights. All others seemed to be sand. After rain lots of puddles. Decent space between camp sites. Needs some TLC.
Pretty nice park. Looks like it was pretty amazing at one time. Staff is nice and friendly. This park is large and would need a full maintenance team to keep it tip top. It’s very quiet, a good place to stop in for a night or so. It was a koa at one time but looks like it’s a Good Sam now. I don’t like to give Marcus Lamonis my business so not likely to stay here again simply because of that. I wouldn’t have stayed here at all if I had known Lamonis has a stake in it.
A good overnight place. 2 miles on paved roads from I-10 & Exit-225. Clear sites for satellite tv. Long relatively level pull-through sites. Pay attention to map to get to row A. No negatives for self contained rvs.
Here is the deal.if you are staying over night it's fine. Not level, all gravel people in office are fine. Hook up's are old and not well kept. Plug in's work, but sewer and water are poor and in bad shape. The over the air TV is great, after all it's near a university. Wi FI bring your own, none in the park. Right on the I 10 after you wind around to get there. Its a typical some live year round for cheap rent with 5TH wheels very few big rigs but again over night OK.
Very nice affordable cabins, friendly stuff, clean toilets. A little bit old but overall really great experience!
We just stopped for the night it wasn't the best site we ever had but it was more than good enough for what we needed. I drove off and left $60.00 worth of fittings on the water spigot. They mailed them to me, didn't even hesitate. That kept me out of hot water with my wife. The bath house was also very nice and very clean. Obviously I'll stop there again next time I pass through, and I pass through 2 or 3 times a year.
