I find most of our police staff, officers and sheriff's do their jobs very well here but when it comes to trespassing on others property and drug trafficking there is slack and intimidation to inforce the law! Why?

Limited dealings with them over the years but most recently had to stop in to take care of a little problem and they are fair and by the book treating everyone equal, unlike some other departments I hhad the displeasure of dealing with TPD is fair and by the book.

We reached out to TPD this morning after being contacted by a sketchy phone number. This person knew several personal details about my roommate, and claimed to be offering an internship- while refusing to give us details about the position, the organization, and failing to explain how they were affiliated with FSU. Several other details just didn’t add up, so we decided to tell the police in case it was a human trafficking issue.

We reached out to FSUPD, who redirected us to TPD, we tried to explain the situation to several people. After explaining the whole situation and being redirected, we finally were put in contact with a deputy or something. This man immediately dismissed our situation; it was clear that he did not understand what we were trying to say, but instead of listening, made his own assumptions and dismissed all of our information.

He seemed to think that it was a legitimate job offer and that we were being dramatic, but we didn’t even get to tell him all of the suspicious details. The officer said that in case it was a scam, not to go to the interview, but encouraged us to show up with our “posse” in case it was a real opportunity. He told us that the information was probably sold from an online magazine subscription- excuse me? Who said anything about a magazine? Is that your professional opinion? Why would a police officer tell us to put ourselves in harms way? This isn’t a normal scam. Aside from offering almost ten grand for an illegitimate “internship” refusing multiple times to tell us the organization or a job description, and insisting instead that we show up to find out- this isn’t a money scam. He already has access to personal information, so why would he want us to show up physically? In a city that’s a hotspot for human trafficking, this raised so many red flags, and the ignornace of the police officer we spoke to either indicated severe incompetency or a willing complacency, both of which are not tolerable for someone supposedly protecting us.

I want to give a shout out to the Tallahassee Police Department. It's been a rough few weeks for me and I've needed their assistance on numerous occasions. Every one I've dealt with has been professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. I just want to say thank you all for your support and help keeping me safe through this difficult time. You are appreciated!

In my profession, I interacted with TPD regularly. When I needed them at my retail work area, their response was quick and the officers professional.

The officer helping the man shave for a job he was promised if he could show up clean shaven was nothing short of the very best in human decency! Please thank him.

I was harassed and lied to by a racist and corrupt police officer Justin Buis. He was rude, arrogant and a complete idiot. I was also racially profiled by another officer while biking, he asked to see my ID. This "police department" employs racist bigots! Absolutely disgusted with these vermin.

Response time for something I considered minor was incredible. I have dealt with 3 officers on 3 separate occasions and all were very professional and friendly.

Thank you all for keeping each other on the straight and narrow. I absolutely love the fact that you care more about collage football and keeping a predator on the streets. I hope all your daughters get some one on one time with Jameis Winston.

My experience with the TPD is limited to their Citizen's Police Academy program, which gives you an opportunity to get to know officers from different divisions and learn more about how the TPD operates. I strongly encourage you to check it out!

I think TPD does an excellent job in general. Anyone who wants to really learn more can apply to the Citizens Police Academy or do a ride-along. I learned a lot by doing both of these activities. No organization is perfect & I am sure some officers are there who don't have a good attitude or a positive way of interecting witb citizens. However, my experiences have been positive & I have had a good response to my occasional complaint.

These guys give you TICKETS! I am completely outraged! I was only doing 78 in a 55! RIDICULOUS! The officer made me open my glove compartment to find some dumb thing called an "insurance card! " The candy in the office is what the three stars are for. Not the ticket. You get zero stars for the ticket. ZERO.

I am a resident of the Bond Community, I have a great respect for the Officers that patrol that area. I feel much safer when I know that Officers Miller and Watson are on duty THANKS TPD!

TPD is known to be involved with fraudulent activites and to be dishonest as an organization.
If you are in need of law enforcement while in Tallahassee, you will avoid trouble and heartache by dealing with the Leon County Sheriff's Department.

A few weeks ago a sexy darkskinned cop pulled me over because my tag light was out. The real reason he pulled me over is because he wanted my digits! Mr. Sexy cop if you ever read this, you can most certainly have my number if you pull me over again! ;-)
