Talquin Electric Co-Op reviews
13The power during tropical storms is really consistent. Unless it's a major storm, we'll flicker some but it usually stays on. We have fewer outages than City Utilities. Whenever the power goes out, randomly, repairs are made quickly and there's always a reason it went out. The office folks are super polite and willing to answer questions.
I have never experienced so many power outages and almost every outage has been during a holiday. If you're moving to a talquin run area make sure you have a ton of gasoline and generators because you will certainly need them.another outage today.not even raining
Say what you will about talquin, all I know is I'm moving into my first home, it had no power and water and I came 30 minutes before closing, not only did they get me set up they even sent someone after hours to get everything turned on for me! Customer service is greatly appreciated!
My water is awful, it's brown and murky at times, smells funny and it has been months going on, here in Crawfordville. When will we be getting decent enough water we can actually drink.
The worst! I was without lights for a day. The person who was living in the home before me disconnected her lights I then connected mine. They told me I would have to wait until the morning because no one was in the area AFTER I get off of work and had to call them because my lights or water was on. HOWEVER if you report an outage they can come! First time dealing with Talquin and it was and is the worst experience. My family lives in another county, so it will definitely be an inconvenience and hell of lot of gas being used to commute there and back to Tallahassee. It’s cold and food has spoiled rotten. If I could wish I could deal with city of Tallahassee
Power system is patched together and hasnt been properly maintained or upgraded. I'd love to know where our money is going?
Love this co-op. Those complaining should move to Orlando and try dealing with Duke. Our monthly bill cant complain about and the workers are lovely.
Happy Mother's Day with no electricity again, a rain cloud in Tallahassee Florida with a light sprinkle and no power, a welcome gift from Talquun Electric on this special day.
Their tag line should read, " Talquin Electric, where subpar is our best work and we are ok with that! " The absolute worst electric company to deal with, ever. It's a Co-op, so the customers own it, right? Well, than show us some respect. The office on Capitol Circle has the worst people working there. They will ignore you. Talk to you like you have the plague and show you ZERO respect. Guaranteed your power will go out an hour before a storm or light rain shower, 2 hours after a storm or if a leaf falls on the ground. And, if you live way out in the County, in the "country", well, you are considered the least of their worries and you will ALWAYS be the very last to get your power back on. Guaranteed! Oh, and their excuse for power outages is always "the substations". Really, then do some updating and repair on them, regularly. I would do anything to get another electric company where I live.
Excessively exorbitant monthly bill for a small home. Monthly cost is ridiculously higher than the average bill for other states, Florida cities and even the City of Tallahassee with no explanation! If I could rate with zero stars, I would.
If you enjoy sitting with a phone at your ear for a painfully long hold time, this is the monopoly for you.
It's power and their website works well. Since they are rural repairs sometimes take longer. They did well on the last storm.
I connected my power on Friday, but it took them four days to put power in my house. The imployee told me that they would turn the power on on friday but they were wrong. It have been a very hot for days without air conditioning. The city of Tallahassee is much better but im zone for talquin.
