Tamale Co. Mexican Street Food reviews
13 I made the trip just for the tamales! The most soft and flavorful masa. The fillings, chicken & carne asada topping are delicious. The explosion of flavor from the freshest ingredients but mostly from the love with which they are made of!
The service is excellent. Quick order process and immediate attention to the specifics of your order. Green or red salsa, get them both. On the side or on top, on the side. Pineapple agua fresca, yes mam! Everything and everyone was amazing!
Tamale Co. Has become our go-to meal after leaving a show at Dr. Phillips Center. The horchata, Pollo Ranchero tamales, and a side of plantains make up my favorite meal. The service is amazing and the food keeps me coming back.
My boyfriend raved about this place everytime we drove past it. I'm kind of burnt out on Mexican food these days, and felt like I was going to roll my eyes. Even after being car sick today and not being able to eat right away, the amazing smell of the food eventually got me to try it. The spices, the presentation, and all the flavors locked together were truly impeccable. This place really lives up to the hype and will pull you out of any Mexican-food burnout you might have.
This place is great! I’ve been here twice and loved it both times. My most recent purchase was the Al Pastor Tamale. The spicy is tamed/ balanced with the sweetness of fresh pineapples. I highly recommend.
We were working through wine hangovers and I thought tamales sounded good so did some searching and found this place.
12-14 sounds like a lot for 2 tamales but they're pretty big, we even boxed up a bit.
It was very good, the staff was friendly, and the place was clean, fun, and welcoming.
And yes, it did greatly help our hangovers.
Great place, great people, great food!
Andrea and Katherine were so sweet and helpful!
Went to the tent at the farmers market! The people were so sweet and mixed half and half agua frescas flavors for us! Super sweet and pleasant experience:)
Pleasantly surprised tacos were bomb, from tamale based restaurant. I would definitely recommend.
I like this place a lot! They have vegetarian options that are amazing! I come here all the time for dinner. I bring friends and family and really enjoy the place a lot.
The only problem I have is the desert. Holy cow that was the worst flan I’ve ever eaten. It was so pretty when it came out! But what a disappointment. It had zero flavor. I was so confused by the intensely watery flavor.
Anyway, if you order LITERALLY anything else here, you’re going to love it. Don’t worry, there are plenty of dessert places near by if you’re craving something sweet. Also, I recommend asking for any sauces on the side because they tend to be very spicy.
The tamales were amazing. So well presented too. Even the “aguas frescas” look like a fancy drink. Also, you are supposed to order at the desk and then sit and wait for the food. Since my wife was on a walker, they went and took the order at the table. The drinks on the picture are a beer and the “agua fresca”
Food here is great! Staff is amazing! Very accommodating and friendly! If you have never eaten here, please come visit and you will certainly be impressed!
Is my first time here I thought it was going to be a great experience but I was disappointed because when I place my order I make sure to let the girl know what I want it and she took my order wrong and when ask for the rest of my food the girl said she took it wrong but I still need to pay more but my order had rice and beans on the side portion but I didn’t even receive my side for my order overall I didn’t like the service.
So I live 7min from here and never stopped by but Doordash suggested it for VEGAN food. They have 3 vegan tamales, all sounded good. I eeny-mineey-moed it and ended up with the black bean tamale. I would probably suggest the other two, unless your obsessed with beans bc it comes with a hefty side of beans and rice! It was still absolutely delicious, with fresh toppings and great portions…. I really can’t say enough about it. There was a convenient order window outside, customer service was fantastic. Will be coming back!
