Dr. Fernandez performed gastric bypass on my mom. I am eternally grateful to him for saving my mom’s life. He is a skilled surgeon and compassionate person. His staff is responsive.

Excellent Caring Surgeon - Has excellent bedside manner and is great to work with. Would highly recommend others seeing him for a great surgical experience. I have seen changes in the office staff over the last ten years. They are all very helpful and a pleasure to work with. They all go above and beyond to help you through the process. One has to remember though, you have to do YOUR part. Keep your follow up appointments and stay in contact. He and his staff can't help if they do not know what the issues are.

If you are really looking for an excellent doctor with experience to help you loose the weight and get healthy this is the doctor I recommend. My son is back to be healthy and happy with all the weight he has lost. Thank you doctor you are the best

Dr. Fernandez is an amazing physician. Kind, caring, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and his wonderful staff! They even have bariatric vitamins and protein shakes to purchase.

Dr. Fernandez is a very knowledgeable and professional physician. He has great bedside manners. His office staff was courteous and prompt. He performed an outpatient gallbladder surgery with excellent recovery and results! I highly recommend him for this procedure.

For some reason the staff will not request authorizatins or referrals from PCP. What am I supposed to do?

Amazing he help me through my whole process and also making insurance approved me. Any concerns he wouldn’t mind talking to me. I always see him. Also his staff are so lovely and amazing always get back to me quick and make me feel welcome and comfortable

At first I was opting out of using Dr. Fernandez because of the reviews. After several months of contemplation, I came back to him. I am still in the process of getting my health back on track and I must say that I haven't had any issues with him nor his staff. He listens to my complaints and his staff reaches out to me when needed and is pleasant towards me. I will post again after all is done with an update.

Man to be honost i havnt been in or met anyone but reading the reviews is kind of scary me becuase the surgery i have to get is very serouis especially the galbladder review i remember removing mine easily i almost died and a surgeon saved mylife so im pretty scared to get surgery from here i really want a good surgeon that wants to improve my body make me feel better cares about there job and loves what they do not the money i really am terrified after reading these reviews these surgerys are very serouis and dangerous

Dr. FERNANDEZ is the best bariatric surgeon! He is knowledgeable and experienced. His staff is amazing. They are caring and very patient. I witnessned a patient refusing to pay her copay of $5! These are the type of people who write negative reviews. They think they can get away with service without paying. I would not go to anyone else to have bariatric surgery. He has 4 centers of excellence in bariatric surgery. No other surgeon in Tampa has these credentials. He is awesome!

Had a gallbladder surgery performed by doctor Alfredo Fernandez around two years ago where I almost lost my life due a bile leak. Thanks to God and other doctors, I'm still alive.
