Tampa Greek Festival

My wife and I have been going to the Greek Festival at St John's for approximately 20 years, except during the Covid pandemic. Normally the event is very enjoyable as the food, drink and sweets are expertly prepared. This year that was not the case. We attended at 6: 30 on Saturday and joined the food line to get what is normally a fantastic dinner. I had the Lamb Shanks as I do most times and this year they were ok but not up to their usual quality or taste. The dinner came with greek style green beans which were cold when served, and a scoop of rice. They had run out of Greek Beer at 6: 30 even though the festival was scheduled to run until 11: 00. The biggest disappointment was the desert table which in the past was a marvelous array of greek pastries was only a table filled with bags of dried up cookies.
They have managed to turn a great event into a less than satisfying evening. I will not be returning.
