Found the item I wanted, price $2.99. Rang up $8.99. Took associate to where item was located, price on shelf $2.99. She ripped off the tag and said it was wrong, the price was $8.99. I walked out, wont be back!

Today was my first time visiting Tandy Leather, and it would be impossible to overstate how fantastic of an experience I had. As the owner of a third-generation small business, I have the utmost appreciation for a shop that instantly feels welcoming, tight-knit, knowledgeable, and (perhaps most importantly) passionate. Rilene was my first contact, and was incredibly patient showing me every tool and accessory I needed for my latest endeavor. Paul walked me through exactly which leather I should use and why, and Billy brought some extra perspective and personal experience to the picture that deepened my understanding of my project. Without a doubt, one of the best experiences I’ve had in a retail setting and the staff is what makes it happen. Can’t wait to come back.

I have to be honest and admit that this store and every single associate is absolutely amazing. They provide great classes for people that want to learn about the leather craft and are stocked with everything you need. The patience, knowledge, experience and willingness to share is so pure, hard to describe. I even took my teen daughter to learn how to make a pouch and she loved it! Look at the photo, from bare leather to a beautiful zippered wristlet in only couple of hours and at very little cost. We drove an hour each direction and will do it again and again. I was a bit hesitant to write this review as would like to keep this store as a little secret, but this is simply too good not to share.

Update: November 2022, took another two classes over the Thanksgiving break and again loved, loved, loved every single second. Greg and Billy go above and beyond explaining the process, making sure all is covered and your ideas come to the finish line. I'm attaching the photos of the trays my daughter and I did this weekend.
This is by far the best, the most friendliest store in the entire Tampa Bay area.

Becca and her team are amazing. I have very little knowledge of leather and she helped me out in ways I didn't even imagine I needed. Even her customers are helpful. Always great service I love Tandy Leather. The staff is very helpful. If items are in stock they are usually out the door the same day. I can't to open the box when it comes so I can finish or start a new project.

Awesome Tandy store. The manager, Becca, is talented, friendly, knowledgeable, and an all around amazing person. The store is run exceptionally well, and always has been. It's clean, well stocked, and not cramped like some of the other stores. Out of the dozen or so Tandy leather stores I've been to, this is my favorite to shop at.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean store and good supply of product. Highly recommend them.
