Tavares Public Library

Nice little local library. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They had free mask painting for the kids which was fun. The children's section is quite large and had plenty of great audio books for kids. Parking is minimal and odd due to surrounding one-way streets.
Update: I've visited a few more times for special events free to the public; such as Lake County Sheriff's K9 unit presentation and free AARP tax preparation. The library is quite large, well stocked, clean restrooms, and often has free activities onsite for both kids and adults. The only negative I can think of is still the awkward and limited parking.

Local public library made exceptional by it's friendly, energetic staff. As a fervent reader myself, i understand and appreciate their efforts to engage and excite patrons.
They offer book suggestions, raffles, and activities including concerts, walks, and crafts.

Staff is most helpful with fax, copies and computer help. Thanks Mr Carl for your extra encouraging help with the teens.

Our library is fairly small compared to others, but they always have awesome, educational, fun experiences (crafts, shows, contests, etc) for the kiddos during the summer to keep them entertained. The staff is always helpful, funny, and kind— especially the ladies who run the kids section.
My daughter loves the Lego wall. They also have computers (obviously) and iPads with games for the kids to use.

Very helpful staff and very nice library. Good selection of books with a great kids area. Top notch.
