Rude pharmacist. I’ve been a permanent resident of winter park for 35 years but currently spend most of the year up north (where I have a consistent pharmacy l) so I was seeking a local pharmacy to fill a low dose ADHD medication. I thought I’d try this for pharmacy as it’s right down the street. When I called, the first woman I spoke to said she couldn’t fill my prescription because she can’t ship it out of state (my doctor provided the wrong address) so I told her I live in Winter Park and she said she’d be happy to fill it. Their policy only allows them to fill this for winter park residents. She told me she was going to put me on hold for a moment to get my insurance information. I waited 10 minutes for a rude man to pick up and say “are you the lady calling about the amphetamines? ” then proceeded to tell me he has a consistent customer who he saves that specific medication for as there is a shortage.

Shame! Shame! Shame on you Taylors Pharmacy! Our kitten’s prescription for a severe respiratory infection was called in to Taylors pharmacy in the early afternoon and they totally screwed us over! First, we called, and they couldn’t locate the prescription despite us having written confirmation from our vet that they received it. Then, they called us and said they couldn’t fill it because our vet failed to indicate if it was for an animal or person despite being ordered by a vet from an office that exclusively uses this pharmacy.
We called the vet ourselves and had the medication reordered specifically for our kitten, even though the responsibility of calling the prescribing Dr.for questions, clarifications and substitutions has always been the pharmacists at every pharmacy we’ve ever used. Shortly after, we received a call back and were told they were ready to mix the medication but that it came in 3 flavor options and needed to know which one we would like. We selected a flavor we thought our kitten would tolerate and were told that the prescription was going to be entered into the system and we would get call back for payment shortly. That was at 2: 45. We waited and wait but no call!
Two hours later, at 4: 45 we were still standing by with our credit card waiting for the payment call. At this point we were becoming concerned. We checked their hours and saw they were closing in just 45 minutes. We live 30 minutes away, so we jumped in the car and called them back as we headed their way. The girl that answered said the prescription was never entered into the system, then she changed her tune and said it was in the system but that the vet called in the prescription too late since they stopped mixing medicines an hour and a half ago, in other words at 3: 15, a full half hour after we were told the prescription was being filled! Just an fyi, the mixing required for the majority of our pet’s antibiotic medications is adding water and shaking. This excuse was especially frustrating as we were on the phone with them three separate times with the final call being 30 minutes prior to the alleged cut off time! Then the girl told us that they never intended on having it ready the same day, that someone should have told us that earlier, and worst of all, that it wasn’t their problem. They didn’t care about our kitten suffering and her condition declining without this antibiotic treatment and refused to take any responsibility by blaming the vet and eventually us! They didn’t try to help resolve the situation in any way whatsoever.
Our vet, Chain of Lakes Animal Hospital depends this pharmacy for their pet prescriptions and tried to call to help get our prescription filled but they were also brushed off by Taylors who told them they would leave a message for the pharmacist. The message was left unreturned.
Taylor pharmacy is clearly not in this business for the love of animals or people and should absolutely be ashamed and embarrassed of their abysmal level of service as well as the nasty and indifferent attitude of their customer facing staff. Thank God Chain of Lakes Animal Hospital is so committed to their patients as they worked overtime to help us through this five plus hour ordeal and to finally get our kitten’s medication elsewhere!

Wish I could give 0 stars! Absolutely awful! Rude staff, terrible communication, and just plain don't care! Avoid this place!

I called Friday morning, i asked for a pharmacist. I was told none were available. I then asked to speak with the owner, I was told she was not there. A person who said they were a pharmacy technician.took my number and said she would have Sydney call me back, when she gets in.she told me Sydney was due in at 11. Well, I still have not gotten a return call. This store has no customer service? I believe that not having a pharmacist available to speak with a customer, when the store is open, is not allowed. I have never experienced such a poorly run pharmacy.

Definitely don't recommend using this pharmacy. It took literally a month to receive the meds from a pharmacy that is 15 minutes up the road. When we called they said they would rush ship them out since they dropped the ball and then proceeded to wait 4 more days before putting it in the mail.

Friendly service but hard to find parking and the medication I had to pick up for my dog was $50 more than my vet. Yikes!

Sydney went above and beyond to see that my beloved cat got the medicine she desperately needed. I am so grateful to her and all the staff for taking extra time and effort to see that she got it promptly. I cannot thank you enough! She is on the mend thanks to the compassion demonstrated to us. My husband and I will pass that same kindness forward.

I’m so glad I switched from one of the chain drugstores. The staff at Taylor’s are very helpful and you feel like they value your business.

I called Wednesday morning to make sure they received my pets prescription and was told it was compounded and takes time which I completely understand. I was told it would be shipped out on Monday so now it’s Tuesday and I haven’t received a text or email saying it was shipped so I called to check on it. I was told it takes time and still needs to dry so it wouldn’t be sent out until tomorrow which will be 1 week since they received the prescription. The least they could have done is reach out to let me know as this is a medication very important for my dogs medical condition.

They certain pharmacist along with the supervisor act like certain kids always talking about other people. They tell you when they hire you they dnt do the gossip but that’s a lie. All the managers and employees pharmacists sit up and gossip and talk about everyone. They dnt call you out or try to help you fix something they sit up and talk about you! Most definitely some favoritism as well.

Highly DO NOT recommend - placed a prescription order for very ill pet through my vet because they were local and I could pick up. They called for credit card info, asked fo address which is usually required when taking a C. C. The day I was expecting to get the call to pick up order I get an email telling me my order has been shipped. I called questioning. I was told I OK'd shipping when I gave my address. Then I was told the order had already been shipped and there is nothing they can do. After complaining that no one asked me about delivery and asking to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for 15 minutes, then I was told it was available for pick up. The attitude was shame on me for complaining.
**** UPDATE
When I went to pick up my prescription, the pharmacist went out of his way to apologize for the problems I encountered. He was kind enough to reverse the charges. Kudos for addressing the complaint. BUT, when I compared the price vs the amount received I found that their cost was 5 times the cost on Amazon or Chewy with 2 day shipping. I try to shop local when possible but in this instance No.

I have been having a prescription filled at Taylors for 14 plus years. The customer service has steadily went down hill to the point I have to find another compound pharmacy. They use to be the best but like every company that grows they forget the customer that made them who they are today

Always super helpful and accommodating, even called us once to try to save us some money on a rx for our cat. Thank you Taylor’s!
