Gas Company TECO reviews
13The worst customer service I've encountered, this comes from the top, find new.leadership!
I’ll give them a good review when they are for the people and city of Tampa and not for self gain over the lives of others.
They are slowly raising kilowatts prices they are stealing from the poor that are already struggling.
The automated system is a JOKE. It’s impossible to get ahold of anybody. I’ve been being overcharged for over 6 months. There is no way to look at payment history. I’m NEVER home and still paying over 300 a month. Ridiculous.
If I can give a 0 I would. It's ridiculous how they are gouging people! It's the absolute worst!
They won’t schedule a tech to revisit if you have missed them the first time, you’re on your own. They don’t care because they are the only pipe line company in florida they say.
We need regulation right now on this monopoly's price gouging this is getting crazier and crazier. Where are our florida representatives at?
Recently moved from Fort Lauderdale and I have to say.compared to FPL, TECO is very THIRSTY $$$. I had a $700 deposit startup fee and monthly bills are 2x what they were in my FtL home, same temp settings. Why so greedy?
Thank you Teco! Power out at 2am by a whole grid out because it caught fire and being 35 wks pregnant that sucks… but they had everything up and running within the hour! Happy pregnant woman!
Please explain why I have lived at the same place for a year in a half and my bill use to be between 250 to 400. The last few months I have been getting a bill for 6 and 7 hundred dollars. If anything I upped my air to save and nothing is being used any differently other then using it less. Makes no sense to me. They claim there rates went up but ur telling me it went up 300 and more. Something isn't right
TECO came out due to gas outage about a month and a half ago due to a 3rd party issue. They turned off all the gas at our apartment complex, then turned it on again. My gas bill was 171.00 for a total of 405 with electric. I called and said this is outrageous my bill has NEVER been this high, nothing has changed except for you guess coming out and doing whatever you did which coincides with the billing cycle. The fact that they raise already high prices, and then also want to blame their customers for their issues is upsetting. They are to send someone out by the end of the week to check the meter and I'm sure I will get that the meter is correct. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and FTC. Poor business practices need to be exposed especially when there is no other options available to connect your electric.
Seems as though they're more willing to increase our rates than actually get this solar farm completed. I was told this was in the works, but where is it, and how are you helping your customers afford the increase? I was also told back in 2022 that this increase was only temporary due to gas prices, that was a lie.
TECO does not have a satisfactory trouble reporting service. I reported a power outage at around 4: 30 am.and did not get feedback on the progress of solving the problem.
