No stars, What kind of business cant tell you an estimated time window other than between 8am and hopefully 5pm, worst customer service ever.they are only care the money, always try to charge more money from customers.

They cut my service. They say they send the bill. That I never received. Now I have to pay reconnection fees. I work hard for my money. They take advantage.

You people disgust me so much you thrive off of these stupid fees that you place on our Bill's and you don't even try to help out your own customers through your call centers. I really hope your business fails cause this is so ridiculous and disgraceful.

No care for the paying customers that pay this company’s workers and keep them around! They did not want to help or find a way to get our gas turned back on after our home extermination. They said their last appointment was at 4pm they came at 3pm and the exterminators were doing there last walk through to make sure air quality was safe. They did not care to wait even 5 minutes for them to finish. They stated that there was nothing that they could do and they will not wait. They told me “call and set up an appointment for Monday morning cause that is all we can do. ” Today is Friday just so you understand my frustration. We now have to wait till Monday and can’t be in our home for another 2 days because the TECO worker was not willing to work with us and wait 5 MINUTES! What a terrible company.terrible customer service. I’m disappointed and disgusted. If you have a choice do not choose TECO. What ever happened to make the paying customer happy? THIS COMPANY WOULD NOT HAVE JOBS IF IT WASN'T FOR THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS!

I would never recommend this company to anyone, ever. I moved to Florida recently and they are the only gas company I can use in my area, unfortunately for me. I called and setup my account and their customer service was horrible. Douglas Mackey was extremely rude and hung up on me! Now I will spend my money by switching to electric and paying Duke Energy what I would be paying TECO. You guys need serious help in your technician and service department. Your loss! Money talks and you guys clearly don't want to have a part in the conversation. Good luck!

Unbelieveable. I don’t think I can write anything new that hasn’t already been said. Disconnections with no notice or call ahead, they take forever to schedule reconnections and if you want a same day you have to pay over $100 to do it. Someone has to be home when they connect it but they will come disconnect even when no one is home. This place is absolutely awful. Should have 0 stars.

0 stars. Worst experience I've ever had with a service provider. 1st day they came out to set-up service they sent a Technician out who was rude and unprofessional. The Tech made countless excuses from a bad knee to some boxes in the way, why he could not complete the set-up. After we moved the boxes and apologized for our water heater being too low to the ground we ask the Tech to please finish. He complained he was already there too long which was only 10 minutes for him to only return back inside for another 10 and become so fustrated with the equipment he damaged it to a point of not working. I asked the Tech not to leave without addressing the issuse when he ran to his vehicle and started to igrore me. I then asked for another Tech to come out for a second look which he said that won't happen. I asked to call a superviser to work out the problem, He told me no superviser was available and left, never ever made a call or reached out to someone else in front of me. After a call was made back to Teco for help from our end, the superviser said he just talk to the Tech on the phone (Witch proves the Tec lied) and told us it was our problem! I told him the tech was rude and I didnt think the gas line was left properly due to the fact I could still smell gas. I asked to have another Tech come out just to check and he said "NO". I told him if he would not send someone out I would have to call the Fire dept, he laughed at me and said "go right ahead. " This is just wrong!

Been with teco for ten years. I call because I paid 3/4 of my bill but need Dec 21. I told her I paid remain balance 6am in the morning online services. She told me I have until Dec 20 and will be disconnected. I told her my paycheck release to my account Dec 21 she told me she can't help me. I was willing to pay late fee just give me Friday. No solution.

Horrible! Disconnected over 14 dollars when I was never called, emailed, or received a bill! Now I have to find a way to be home so they can reconnect my service and pay an extra 50 bucks for reconnection.

No disconnection notice, when I was asked about it I was told to talk to RON, and the supervisor EVELYN, gave no help then RON told me it was $35 to reconnect my gas, then the supervisor told me it was $105. These people have no heart.

Now they are charging their customers a $2.75 penalty to pay them their money. Then they hide the penalty by calling it a "convenience fee".

This company is by far the SORRIEST place you could ever be connected to. Customer service sucks and they will cut you off if you owed $5.00 that’s how bad this place is. They never have service workers available. FYI if your in search for a house/apartment make sure Teco gas is not around. I will be writing a review about them on every site I can just do I could educate people on their bad horrible service. It’s great to make money but the way they go about it is terrible. DONT GET TECO GAS! They will screw you over.

Teco gas is the worst and most unfriendly company in florida.i have had service with them for over two years inwhich i have paid my bills on time every month.i upgrade my apt to a two bedroom and have to move within two days of being notified of the opening. They try and tell me that i did not alot enough time and now gas will be shut off in the old one not turned on in the new one in the same day as the technicians are booked (im movimg in the same complex literally 100 ft from each building) and bc the gas in the new one was shut off (3 days prior) i will be charged 50 dollars to turn it back on. I receive my bill for the remaining balance of the month and told must be paid or services to new place will be off lol and then get the new bill with 50 dollar charge a week and half later. I call to see if they will spilt the 50 into two payments and they advise no bc its a fee not my monthly charges.i have been a responsible tenant and yet i get no benefit or help the one time i ask for an extension or help.teco is the worst and ill be leacinf this complex agter this lease just so i dont have them anymore

Been waiting since 8: 00 AM for the service to be activated and its almost 12: 00 PM, no technician on site. What this company do not realize is that people have errands to do beside sitting at home all day waiting for someone. It'd be really nice too if they would give us a heads up prior to them arriving. I'm quite disappointed with this company, if it wasn't for the place I am staying at, I would've changed my utility right away and not even bother with TECO.

Edit: Already 2: 00PM still no gas tech on site. This is frustrating

Absolute thievery. Being hit with hidden fee's, no emails to warn me of what my bill is supposed to be, etc. The only leg they stand on is that we are forced to use them through our apartment.

Horrendously awful service that at times feels like you're being pranked from how terrible they are at everything. Crazy high fees for basically everything, I wouldn't be surprised if they're working on technology that can charge you for the gas you exhume from your ass when you fart. You can pay off your whole entire bill, which can include a $100 late fee and a $70 reactivation fee (for a normal bill of $20-$30, typically), and then STILL be kept waiting for an entire week as no one shows up to reactivate everything.

People with kind hearts, those nicer than me, do not waste your breath on trying to soften your anger towards them for the wrongs they've done to you. They do not care to learn. They do not want to better themselves. They just want your money, and if that means coming up with crazy high fees for anything you could imagine with no wiggle room for anything, then by golly I hope you're ready to pay out the wazoo for one of the worst services you could ever expect to get. If the mere concept of all the negative aspects of capitalism was condensed into a single business, it would still most likely be Nestle, but TECO Peoples Gas is a very good runner up that will proudly hang their silver medal over the corporate office located by River Styx, Hell.

Those of faith on the lookout for the anti-christ, or another similarly-evil entity that feeds off of misery and pain, need not look any further than TECO Peoples Gas. They are blatantly corrupt and have no problem bleeding you for every penny to your name, and they are protected (even encouraged) by the fact that most people that have to deal with this hippo's-tail-after-muck-spreading of a company are FORCED to deal with them because of the place they chose to live.

If I had to choose between dealing with TECO ever again, or chopping one finger off one of my hands, I'd be missing two middle fingers and this company would be getting a beautiful mount of me flipping them off eternally. I think I'd call the piece "You Are The Reason The Guillotine Was In Style For So Long". I'd even leave tiny clues to a grand conspiracy that would take months to get to the end to, all which leads to a picture of a goat's taint. I'd put that much effort into wasting their time and resources, and yet I would still be letting them off easy. When alien monsters come crashing down and start vaporizing everyone with their cool retro 80's sci-fi blasters, I will don a TECO Peoples Gas uniform, step forward as the leader of humanity, and tell them to blow an egg through their ears just in the mere hopes that I can witness this terrible business turning to alien goo in the blink of an eye before I myself follow suit.

Oh yeah, and their website sucks almost as much as their customer service.

Scheduled new service to be turned on today which is a Friday. My open window was between noon 12 to 5 p.m. The house that I'm moving into is empty there's nothing in there. So I sat here and was waiting this whole entire time till 4: 30 came around in which I decided to call their customer service hotline. They told me that tech was here on site at 1: 27 and they knocked the door and left a note saying we just missed you. How did they knock the door if my door is wide open? And left what note? Man these guys must be magicians cuz they just did a trick on me. Horrible service. It sucks that you have to be with a company that's so crappy. All these reviews and they got a one-star rating haha! Of course.
